Upon heaing the first 'lick'--I knew I was in for a treat. Though I have not played rock in a strong way, My main drumming was funk some years ago. I will admit that your 'relaxed' (or so it appeared) approach does aid in giving others that strive for 'pacing and spacing' to see that one need not be a Neil Peart to have Tom Sawyer 'flow' -- even with 'licks' that would throw the 'flow' of the song for some.

@LarsLeeDrums Thanks, the kit is a custom set that Yamaha built me 5 years ago. The bass drum is oak, the toms are Beechwood, Floor Toms are Birch and the snare is Maple, all in the Absolute Nouveau series. Blue sparkle sunburst. you can see the same kit on the drumming system website.

@GGdiskMan Its just you man, the song is terribly hard to play correctly. Neil Peart himself has even said it's one of the more challenging ones for him. This guy is making it "look" pretty easy because he's doing a helluva job, but trust me it's NOT.
