Wonderful sermon brother Anderson, I can't fault it neither should I, I personally combine street preaching, handing out tracts and following up with friendship evangelism and hospitality. The only thing that I haven't been bold in nor even tried is door to door, I pray that the Lord emboldens me and would also appreciate your prayers if that be possible.
Great sermon. Tracts are great but they are no substitute for solid gospel preaching! God bless. Jesus promises to: all who believe in him they have eternal life. John 6:47.
Wonderful sermon! (I'm sure you wouldn't associate with me due to my racial issues, which may well be carnal, but stems from frustration over circumstances in my country). The other day I tried to figure out what hell is. On and on, hell and death accompany each other. The only passages I can remember that speaks of eternal torment was the parable of Lazarus. A parable. In Revelation, the SMOKE goes up forever and ever. I'm leaning towards hell being death, and the lake of fire eternal death.
The Bible says that Jesus is the son of God. How can God be His own son? IMPOSSIBLE! How can the immortal God die on the cross? IMPOSSIBLE! Jesus is either Christ or God, he CANNOT be both! How can the ANOINTED be the ANOINTER?
About the lack of laborers (at 50:00), what about those of us with a tied tongue like Moses? Would you advocate us going out there and speaking like a fool trying to get His story right, or do those persons need a medium to speak for them in the same manner?
Seeing as how the earlier discussion was based on faith over works, is sitting idle desirable for a certain few among those who are saved? I understand wanting to get out there and labor, but fear for wronging the Lord for misspeaking.
You're a false preacher, and not of the Lord Jesus Christ! I was saved in a Southern Baptist Church, when our church went under (unfortunately it was because of a unhealthy church growth, we were a Jewish church plant, I came out of Orthodoxy), I started attending a PAOC church, whose foundation is Christ the Solid the solid rock, and what God's Word says, we live by it. Thus you cannot judge all pentecostal's by some crazies. my pastor and I were at breakfast, we agreed we're Bapticostals.
Catholics think that their pope almighty can interpret the Bible infallibly. The Mormons think their "prophet" almighty can interpret the Bible infallibly. The Baptists and protestants think that they themselves are their own god-man pope almighty who can infallibly interpret the Bible. Orthodox Christians, however, do not believe any one man is infallible, except for Jesus Christ Himself, so Orthodox Christians continue on being the original 1st century Christians following 1st century beliefs.
im not trying to be a dirtbag by asking, but if all of these more liberal churches never go out and get people saved, or just get pweople saved at all, then how come they even have members? Dont you think if they werent doing ANYTHING for Christ they wouldnt have anybody in their churches? This kinda ties in with my other question that i asked in the too puffed up for church sermon, where i questioned the belief that lib churches cant do anything good for God. can you explain this plz?
@JacksonKBH The great majority of those who call themselves Christians, go out an evangelize, no matter if they are liberal or conservative in their beliefs. That's why they have members. I personally don't see how people join these so-called fundamentalist independent baptist groups though. They look like cults to me. I am sure if someone in Anderson's family left his church to join the Catholics or Lutherans or something, he would disown them.
You know what when you recite John 3:16 to God you know what he'll tell you? Depart from me thou worker of iniquity. Question: Does God love the workers of iniquity? Furthermore,"Whosover" is not in the original text. Therefore, this is not God's Words. Again, you must define the words in the original Greek. It's not that hard. You can't tell these people these lies.
Confess is not to "say" Jesus is Lord. Define the words in the Greek. You are in error! Belief if not mental accent. Stop telling people that they must just have a mental accent about Christ. You can't get saved!!! Repent! You talked about all these religions but what about those that don't belief God's Word and call themselves Christians. BELIEF IS DOING.
@TheBmjone1 Is belief doing, or is doing evidence of belief? There are milllions of people doing parts of what God commands us to do, who are either atheists or believe in a phony god, but it's faith in Jesus Christ in particular that saves us. Is the unbeliever's works going to substitute for the Savior? If belief is doing, how much must you do to prove your belief? And what exactly must you do? Is there any certainty in your approach?
Do the parables predict the number saved? Do the five wise and five foolish virgins mean 1/2 of people be saved? Does the parable of the good shepard mean only 1% is lost and Jesus goes and get him...meaning total restorationism? Nope the percentage of people saved cannot is not predicted by the parables.
Wheres the next set of sermons?
Come on pastor, I need some bible thumping, pulpit beating reality quick!
