I have been a huge Steve Harley fan since I was in my teens in the early 70's. This song is cockneyesque in its classic moral sense. Thank You Steve Harley for your art. I will remain a loyal fan as long as their is life in my body.

i used to play this record a lot when i was 15...this wasn't my fave track...i liked tumbling down and mr soft.

Now I know why I used to like Loreena McKennit, this sounds very similar! I prefer his voice to hers, though.

Harley had a bit of cheek claiming the full writing credit for this - John Paul's violin solo half way through makes this the classic it is.
