  • I love the easy way you play music from Ireland. Studing here in America I an influenced by Blues\R&R\Country but my family comes from Ireland and loves to hear and play the old songs. I want to play with them and your You Tube teachings are a great help. God Bless.

  • @MrMichaelcurran Glad they are of help to you and enjoy !!

  • I just discovered your You Tube sight and found this song one I would love to learn.

  • @MrMichaelcurran Thank you and hope that you have fun learning (and performing !) it. Anything I can do to help just let me know. good luck.

  • great song hope you add more songs ive seen them all so far like the history you give on the songs you play keep it up man

  • @patrick442222 Thank you very much. I will start to put more videos together in about one month. My wonderful cameraman / editor is working in South Africa at present but is due back then...looking forward to doing some new songs.

  • This is amazing, i love irish folk songs and always wanted to sing one at a campfire but im not sure if they will sound good with aussie accent lol

  • Do you mind posting the lyrics of this song?

  • @golfnff Will do....I got a little behind (excuses !) with posting lyrics and chords but if you give me a week or so we should have caught up with everything.

  • @brianflynn23 Thanks again for all you do!

  • @golfnff A pleasure. Have a look at my website because I am sure the lyrics are there....I will check this weekend when I have a few minutes to spare.

  • Great job man. Very cool song!

  • @golfnff Thank you so much for your kind comments and glad you enjoyed it.

  • Perfection, just amazing, great. Great skills and singing :D good job

  • @TheRoyalAndAwesome This post is one I will frame, if possible, and keep in my office for when somebody tells me I am nothing but a chancer !! Thank you very very much my friend and delighted you got some value from it.

  • To Briann

  • What a terribly cute song! Warms up the heart, I can see this being played in the Irish Pub in Groningen, The Netherlands! Better yet; you should come and play there! ;)

Do you ever do something w/the harp? I'm a harp player, but my husband wants to play guitar together, so I've started acoustic guitar too.

It would be fun to play these Irish songs you play ^_^

  • @briska82 I have never played in the Netherlands but it is a lovely country. If there is an Irish Pub in Groningen I will drop in there if I am ever in the area...so far I have only visited Amsterdam.I do not play the harp but my wife does and I sometimes accompany her....stay in touch and let's see how you do with your guitar lessons. Bye for now.

  • Brian. I like it. Sadly, as only a social player, can't say I am going to record it and make us both a million or 2, but am going to add it to my repeatotoire, and credit you on every occasion. Great.

  • @The888SMF Well done...good lad/ That is a start !

  • LOL the shirt is fine! I have a two Irish songs up on Youtube now....

Spancil Hill and Back home in Derry.....if you care to see them search for jeffkelaghan i don't know how to link them :)

Thanks for you lessons they are great! How much are your one on one lessons? Will you do a one on one lesson just for one song? like if i wanted to learn "Dying soldier" by Christy or something?

Anyway thanks again for doing the lessons!

  • I have just looked at this video for the first time since the day I did it....DID YOU EVER WISH YOU HAD NOT WORN A CERTAIN SHIRT ??????????????????????

  • @brianflynn23 Probably not, since he put it up in February, and it's probably very cold outside. Brian looks warm tho, so: kudos!

  • Lots of people have made that comment about hot ashphalt...I have honestly never heard that song but these melodies often sound really familiar...this one definitely has lots of Mr.Maguire in it.

  • is the melody from Let Mr. McGuire Sit Down? i really like it :)

  • @jeffkelaghan Let's just say I have heard that song.

  • It sounds like Hot Asphalt.

  • Gr8 song!! Beautiful!!

  • brill

  • @lokicarvalho OBRIGADO !!

  • A very nice song Mr Flynn and very true

  • @Haycroft2 Thanks my friend and indeed it is true....they are everywhere ( a bit like McDonalds LOL)

  • I love this song! I learned it in a few minutes and it's become a favorite for me. It would be nice to know how you played the intro bit and the riffs you play in between the chorus/verse and the outro riff.

  • @shredgasm Thank you very much. The intro riff and the riff between verses is the same...difficult to show in a lesson where you do not want to tak too much time. E-mail me and perhaps I can give you some help.

  • Tab, please i beg you!

  • We love this video!!! Posting on our facebook page :))

  • @primeVibe Thank you very much............I am honoured !!
