  • @SVPrelude people have no idea what they're talking about when it comes to most stuff on youtube I've noticed, lol. You are right the 2.4L dodge is a very very stout motor. Block and internals can handle a ton of power. If anything the tranny and the normal Fwd issues would be the weak points.

    2009-2010 has a 6.2L V8 producing 556 HP

    so all you people these are the facts and that sedan is a 2005 CTS-V with the 5.7L V8 400HP

I am not saying its not a nice car.. But I hate GM as a company, so i would still rather ride a huffy. I would never buy a car that relys on tax payers dollars to bail them out twice and uses the money to build a plant in Sweden, while closing its doors to US workers.

  • @Kleo84 older ones are 400hp. you can tell from the hood line that this is an older one, you can find them around $20k.

  • Depends the generation. The 2nd gens pushed 550 or so hp in the V. The 1st gens did like 400hp. This is an 04, making it a 1st gen, at roughly 400hp

  • the 2010/11 cts-v have the 600hp supercharged vette engine, the v on the vid is older. It has 400hp from either the ls6 5.7l or the ls2 6.0l.

  • Thats not true of all american cars. You get what you pay for after all. For example the gm 3800 engine is one of the top 10 most reliable engines ever made even over hondas and other imports.

It is also much faster and less expensive, it also can turn just like german sedans (m5, rs6), it is the only american car (as well as corvette zr1) that I would consider buying

  • buy them off the dealer lot still under warranty them dump them before it runs out. the quality may not be there compared to a german touring sedan but the power is undeniable, and the mods are cheaper per horsepower then euros.

  • well the CTS-V comes with the 400HP LS2...same engine they put into the Vette and the GTO. and that SRT-4 was nicely modded to keep up, but from what iv seen in racing terms...after 100mph most 4cyc boosted motors lose a lot of the accel. Too much wind resistence and not enough power to cut through it...thats why the SRT4 was hanging...then dropped down at the high speeds.

  • my evo was way faster than a v8 after 120. it had like 360 awhp but that thing flew up to 170. if you mod the car right a 4 cylinder turbo is way faster on top end than a v8.

  • the flash tune it had wasnt tuned for everything. i was still running the stock turbo. if i had a good mellon tune or something or a good dyno tune i could have probably put down 400awhp or 410awhp. thats goods for the 2.0. those are just bolt ons. and you have to remember that awd drivetrains steal more power than strictly RWD.

  • Actually they do come with 560hp. Well 556hp if you want to be exact. It's printed clear as day on the Cadillac website. A stock sedan that can go 0-60 in less than 4 seconds. Not bad huh!

  • Srt4 have turbo's....and stage 3 with some creative modding may get you upper 380 -390 whp great for a 3000lbs car. power to weight ratio when i had mine. a3076 gt was under thae hood..on a cold day i easily made over 490 wftlbs of torque..and real close to 500 whp i only did roll runs and smoked a 480 ftlb rated clutch....that sucked! still i beat a V8 M3

  • hate to tell ya, but displacement makes tq. and there are many different ways to produce tq rather than a larger motor. and not to mention, power output is 2 factors. tq and rpm... so while tq is great, rpm is just as important, so technically speaking, i could also replace displacement with rpm to make power and thus just be as fast.... you need to learn the mechanics behind motors and transmitions befor you run your mouth about sad 4 bangers and get yourself a real edumacasion

They come from the factory with big ass wings so dont blame the dude driving it the factory did it. And look at some stage 3 stage 4 srt-4s before you speak they can make some nasty horsepower. If both that cts and srt4 had the same horsepower who do u think would win the srt-4 less weight. so theres lots of replacements less way turbo not just ur stupid CC number

  • thats not true dude, its not a fuel sucker. I got 30mpg around town the whole time I owned it and I was pretty lead footed getting around in it. And it may be unreliable next to a civic or camry, but it never broke on me once. The motors are pretty bulletproof. Ive had my 06 m3 for 2 weeks and my check engine light already popped on lol. Luckily its nothin big and still under warranty:)

  • That is a 2004 CTS-V, it has the LS6, 5.7L N/A. It is not supercharged. The 2009 CTS-V will be sporting the LSA, 6.2L supercharged.
