ERM............ OLD ENGINE, MANUAL CHOKE, REQUIRES A LITTLE TIME TO WARM UP BEFORE REVVING WOULD BE OK, REV A COLD ENGINE, ESPECIALLLY OLD ONES WHERE YOU GOTTA FEED FROM THE CHOKE YOURSELF AN MAKE SURE YOU GET THE RITE LEVEL AND DONT FLOOD IT ISNT GOOD FOR THE ENGINE. IT WRECKS THEM. SO UP YOURS "BORING VIDEO" dimwits.
I have got a very good hint for you to keeping the nice old Engine in good shape with todays ultra dry eco fuels: Use 1:100 API TC two stroke oil / fuel mix as regular driving fuel, that keeps the old fuel-system gaskets, rubber parts, alloy parts etc... and cast iron metal surfaces of those vintage engines in excellent shape...and it also lubricates the valves and upper piston regions. Most Mercedes vintage owners in Germany do so :) Also keeps carbs and EFi injectors clean as new!

It's probably the fast idle choke engaged. The driver just needs to tap the throttle to knock it back to 800 rpm or so. Engine beat sounds fine, nothing wrong with this six.
lol...yes i totally agree...so much potential but what a boring video!....had the driver fell asleep or left it running while he went into the newagent to get a copy of country life magazine?

You don't "rev" an Aston Martin, you unleash the beast. If you'd say "revving" in the Aston Martin Factory you'd be fired...

use 1% two stroke oil in your fuel to prevent fuel system corrosion with todays ultra dry eco fuel (E10)

Probably a manual choke and the owner just left it to idle high to warm it up.

Looks great, sounds like shit! Out of tune or the idle is set too high.

@CarFanatic94
It was still in warm up as evidenced by the high idle speed. Not a good time to be racing an engine. It should be warm first.
