  • Yrs!

  • My bud and I were dosed at my parent's house watching on pay-per-view, for some reason my dad decided he had to screw around with the TV sound but he gave up I guess because we were just grooving but it was sketchy for us for a while. Jeez I miss Jerry. Was at ~75 shows from 1981 - 1995.

  • jerry at about 2:35.

  • loling at how phil is dressed

  • Thick and cheesy!

  • where the hell can I find this concert on video? I have looked many places and just can't find it.

  • Bobby gets Jerry to look up at the geese flying by....yeah right, not in San Fran.........

  • No one does Dylan like the Dead!!

  • Yup, Jerry forgot his lines once in awhile, and the songs changed, and that's why the Dead had "Shows" while other rock bands had "concerts." Say what you like about Jerry and his band, they WERE the hardest working band in the history of music. They worked their ASSES off. And the results, as far as I can tell, are some absolutely fantastic music.

  • Bobby! Put some pants on for fuck sake!

  • someday everything will be different

  • I love the Grateful Dead and JGB. It is really amazing how old Jerry looks for his chronological age-he has to be 46/47 here. Was it the diabetes, smoking cigs, hard drugs, or all the above. Damn do I miss that man.

  • @sDs61678 Dont forget the chillie dogs,lol

  • The Grateful Dead make so many Dylan songs their own.

  • i wuz there... love n' peace

  • great to see that there are so many that "get it"

  • wtf. That's live music folks. It's not meant to be studio perfect. Little things are what made the Dead soooooooooo great. just flow with it and it'll take ya somewhere.....................

  • @dsmsoccerdad U got that right, those bonesheads have never been to a show and they must shit gold bullions

  • Good times, grateful I was able to enjoy those times while they lasted.

  • ...Thank you so much ... there are lots of us out here who long for that same thing , that same feeling, that same state of mind, that same world situation, that same old thing that I guess we thought would go on forever. It did not go on forever, but we still can listen to a song like this and for a fleeting moment, for just a bit we can remember and ... then it is gone... thanks for putting this up.

  • My first show at Shoreline was this one...saw them there 9 times.

  • can't stop listening to this!! Soooooo good!!!!

  • I was at this show,up from San Diego,...was a rough couple of days, fun but took alot out of me

  • chill music. I like it.

  • bobbys yoked out here. wouldnt want to mess with his stash

  • @JOHNNYWUBBA think maybe we can trade? love to have this

  • saw 50-60 shows ,,and just thought it would go on forever.

what a blast, like bobby says "from the back of my memory"

  • i was there....i think-saw many a shorline-me and my dog -JANIS-she was a german sherpard-me long red headed freak

  • Is Brent playing a viola/violin sound there? I never noticed him doing that before - sounds great.

  • Bobby Cute...! xoxo

  • who wears short shorts lol bobby

  • SWEET SHORTS BOBBY!

  • Sweetness!

  • I enjoyed this more than you will ever know Warrior, THANK YOU.

  • i have this whole show! love the set break when they took the cameras into the vending area! one of my prized videos

    of all time!

  • please send me this

  • Fantastic show! AND...I REALLY THINK THAT BOB GOT MAD AT JERRY CAUSE AS I RECALL, THAT WAS THE VIBE OF IT! ; )

  • Bobby Loveeeeeeee....!

  • This was such a great show...one of my faves even with the tech issues and other stuff. Bobby...you sweetheart...great legs by the way...seriously. This was just the best with Brent and Jerry. Just great stuff. Peace!

  • Probably one of the most powerful dead songs for me personally...love this tune..Bobby rocked this...think my favorite version of this is from the Knickerbocker show in '90.

  • Dude. New Year's 88 or something. Off the freakin hook.

  • Check out Bobby get mad at Jerry around 1:90.

  • Well yea, I can understand that....Jerry totally out of tune with the voice......

  • I dunno -- I think that might have been a "man-I'm-enjoying-this" head shake as opposed to a "fuck-you-Jerry" head shake of disapproval...

I don't think Jerry was anymore out of tune on that line than Bobby was on the rest of the song (not a dig at the musicianship or anything, its part of the sound)

  • Also I think the Band version of this song is the best -- better than the original Dylan version I think

  • @Warriorstrail not out of tune....was giving bob direction...vocalize some passion!

  • @Warriorstrail Its hard to hit those High Notes!

  • @GratefulDead4386

jerry should've been more pissed at what bob was wearing..haha

  • @GratefulDead4386 U guys are bone heads to the max...he wasn't mad at him...everyone knows, much less his band mates, that Jerry forgets lines etc and off key all the time...geez, thats part of what made them great

  • Bob was just dramatizing that he could hardly stand to see those mighty kings of the jungle

  • @GratefulDead4386 1:50 you mean

  • Was this Summer Solstice 89 atShoreline. I remember seeing this there. Good times-

  • Fantastic concert. Very glad someone put this up. Great post. Many thanks. Many.
