@MSDOS6 The lamp has it built in. Where the glowbottle normally would be, it instead has a little circuit board. It is the only "biax" lamp I have that way, but I have one Panasonic "quad" PL lamp that is the same way. The number for it is FQ13E27.U/2 It is made in China, so its quality is questionable, but it starts just like the one in this work light and plugs into a standard 2 pin 'biax" 13 watt base.
ya i can see the difference ,,,, i would rather instant start myself for PL bulbs ...

So one of the lamps has an electronic starter built in?
Did you change the starter yourself or was it sold like that? I have never seen any two pin PL lamp with electronic starter, cool.
