Good God! It's hard to believe this place was open and running in 1984. It's rotted fast. Must be the harsh Michigan weather. When I was 7, in 84, the Rogers City school wanted to lock me up in there because I wouldn't be quiet in class! Thank God it didn't go through. Can you imagine a little 7-year-old in THERE?!

lol i got caught by security in there, but i didnt see any elavator shaft. i didnt realize that was there. we were looking for the tunnels but alot of them are filled in for some reason. anyway good song choice for the vid.

the tunnels werent filled in last time i was there, they were really confusing though

half of state hospital has been remodled, most of it by now is used as assisted living space, and one very nice restaurant on the grounds

i think they just restrained people and thru them in regluar rooms with nothing in them, called 'quiet rooms'
