  • I was at Daytona Beach on that day. I was able to see the fireball briefly befor it disapeared in the clouds. what an honor!!

  • Honestly being part of the 1million+ people there it was a humbling experience honestly living in Florida you know someone who worked on the shuttle program me personally my grampaw designed a thing called the bishop box used on the shuttle

Me personally never seeing a launch untill the last one is somewhat special in my life iv seen it in every form the coolest thing is from an early morning launch while waiting for my bus I saw it flying overhead it was the quickest moving star I'd ever seen

  • Anyone know where there might be a transcript of this?

  • @bsimp07 nasa.gov is the only site that might have one that comes to mind iam sure that if there is one someone will chime in sooner or later

  • Thumbs up if you where there!!

  • fear-well space shuttle

  • I've never seen a hold like that, right before the handoff occurs. Thought maybe we were looking at a scrub, but I guess they just needed to confirm something visually. Godspeed Atlantis. I will miss the space shuttle program, I grew up with it. Rather sad that for the time being, as of the completion of this mission, American manned space exploration is grounded.

  • Space Shuttle Atlantis STS-135 was the greatest, loudest, and emotional space shuttle launch ever seen by mankind. Godspeed to the crew of Space Shuttle Atlantis.
