  • if a women walk up too a cop and say that man grabbed my butt officer he should look at them and say "mam do u see what u have on your cheeks are hanging out what did u think was gonna happen i can arrest u for indecent exposure "

  • 1st time i agree with the police about time nobody didnt sugar coat it DONT DRESS LIKE HOES u wont get sexually assault

nobody wont look at u either but im tired of women walking down the street breast falling out they shirt wearing booty shorts and they actually shocked when men try to talk to them or grab they and stuff

every time i see it on the news i just say what was she wearing they dont never show what she was wearing

is indecent exposure still a crime ????

  • If a guy dresses like a rockstar? he will be treated like a rockstar. If a guy dresses like a magician? he will be treated like a magician. If a guy dresses gangster? he will be treated like a gangster. If a guy dresses like a businessman? he will be treated like a businessman. If a woman dresses like a slut? she will be treated like a slut. It is really that simple, you guys can try and make dressing slutty justifiable, but its never gonna happen. You want respect? respect yourself first.

  • i've seen that guy on tcm!!

  • I totally agree,if you let it all hang out of course some psycho is gonna want to get in you,no I'm not saying to not look attractive, there are ways to look atractive by wearing PROPER clothes that aren't letting it all hang out.But then again, some women get raped for no reason even if they were being innocent so just try to stay awat from freaky men!

  • whats so wrong in what he said? cover your legs and stop wearing those tight shit that shows your hip line and movement of your ass. jeeez. and then they complaint people rape us. idiots.

  • @jologo200 So...if a woman's dressing style makes her look what you define as "slutty" then the men around them are far too weak to control themselves and she deserves to get raped? Asshole.

  • @teoem9083 i know my comment MAKES SENSE to u but like every other youtube idiot with no life, u think its matter to hire a grammar teacher and start a commenting war for no reason.

but ill answer u anyways cuz bitch u hear me. men r weak. sexuality is strong. thats y people RAPE!! wake the fuck up stupid ignorant bitch walk in this style of yours and wear clothes that let it all hang out n walk in the middle of night-bet u will get raped. some sluts like u learn the hard way. mother fucker.

  • generally rape is more about dominance than the need to fulfil sexual desire. any man that is aroused by the idea of having sex with a woman even if it isnt consentual, regardless of how she is dressed, is the one responsible. they should have either gotten themselves locked up, or put a gun to their heads before they felt the urge to harm another person & potentially ruin their lives.

  • @TheBogz That is true. Look at societies where womyn don't wear clothes. They aren't getting raped. This whole rape mentality stuff is based on male patriarchal, dominant, christian-religious propaganda, misconceptions and beliefs about womyn's sexuality. These peanut heads on here must have been hatched instead of had by womyn because only a misogynist would have that attitude. But listen to that guy on the left saying that his mom feels that way. Smh!

  • @HappyHooker83 exactly. in africa where the women always have their boobs out, boobs r no longer considered sexual. they r just seen as having a function. therefore, the more women cover up, the more men become aroused by what they DON'T see. & lots of people have foot fetishes, so if some1 was raped by a guy with a foot fetish & they were wearing open shoes, wud that make it their fault too? so what is enough clothing & what is too little?

  • @TheBgoz A femail anthropologist once said that chimp males tend to abuse the femails not out of love, attraction, etc, BUT TO SHOW DOMINANCE! That is why it is a sick thing to associate rape with something as beautiful as attraction! Also, one cop was found to have been raping sex workers. Alot of cops got the whore/virgin complex mentality BIG TIME. Therefore, it is no shock that they have the highest rates for domestic violence.

PS Clothes are for protection from the environment.

  • @HappyHooker83 this wouldnt surprise me, lots of cops only become cops coz they like to assert their dominance over other people. y would they stop in the work place if they like doing it all the time?

& to an extent, that is exactly what clothing is. but there r some parts of u that u only really want some1 u trust & who cares about u seeing...or just the people u r attracted 2 & who u let!

but if a girl wants 2 walk around in a bikini, how does that justify her being sexually assaulted!

  • @TheBgoz Maybe that officer needs his dick off if he is going to associate the emotion of arousal with harm then I will use the emotion of anger to justify cutting his weapon ie his dick off. Cops even used to call rape, "A crime with a friendly weapon."

  • Hahahaha! My mom was a constable. I feel more old-timey now.

  • lol the subtitles dont match the actual conversation at ALL! lmfao

  • Those TV hosts are idiots. They had nothing of value to say.

  • dont blame the victem for the criminals choice,

  • I do agree that dressing provocatively will increase your chances of being victimized but if the officer meant that dressing appropriately could completely prevent being attacked, thats where the problem occurs b/c thats the dumbest and most offensive thing anyone could ever say about rape victims. "If you dont show any skin, your safe" No, thats dumb as hell. But skanky clothing does tend to draw in sex hungry pigs who could indeed get violent if you turn them down

  • ive read the comments on the first page. and theyre all defensive. jesus christ. live a little bit and find humor in shit instead of being uptight all the time. id rather slit my wrists than be uptight. now all you uptighters are prob. gonna put me on death watch cause i said that. HYPOCRITICALLY PEOPLE!!! damn.

  • You guys should not make fun of things you know nothing about. How women dress has one of the highest correlations in terms of whether a woman is likely to be raped or not.

Whether you think women should be allowed to dress this way, (I sure do, I am a libertarian) the police officer was completely correct. Don't make fun of things you have no knowledge about.

  • Comment removed

  • opinions are like assholes except on the internet noone gives a shit :)

  • Slutwalk, a growing protest movement whose message is that women need never be ladies, but men must always be gentlemen.

  • LMAOOOO the guy on the right is jokess

  • well duh dont dress like a slut

  • To tell the truth as a young women its not fair that we can't wear what we want. Stop puting the blame on us. Its a lazy excuse to say because of what we wear women get raped. Women from Saudi Arabia wear clothes that never show there skin but only there eyes and still get raped. It does not matter what country your in, people men and women get raped no matter what clothing you wear. Rape is not about sex, it about power over others. I don't understand why people can't get this in there heads.

  • @buttafly: nobody is disputing that a women has every right to wear what she wants and she would never get raped or induce desire in a man she doesn't want harboring those feelings towards her even if she is was naked. in theory. unfortunately reality doesnt work like that. just like if you left ur Lamborghini in a bad neighborhood and left ur door wide open or crossed a motorway without looking both ways there would be bad consequences. women in Muslim countries are 10x less likely to be raped.

  • @elipse135 Are you sure about that? They're actually more likely to be raped because they have no rights, are completely subservient to their husbands, and can actually be killed if raped to "uphold the family's honor." You clearly have no idea what you're talking about.

  • @JohannaMirthless: uhmm i wonder how you know that. i have been to several Muslim countries and by what ur suggesting i know you have been to none which explains why your so disconnected from reality. yes am sure according to the Rapes (per capita) (most recent) by country Muslim countries as well as more conservative societies like japan are one of the lowest whilst 'secular societies' like US, Canada are the worst in terms of rapes. funnily enough Saudi Arabia has the least rapes per year.

  • @elipse135 I'm disconnected from reality? You can't even type properly. Why would I trust the information that you give me when it looks like it was typed by a ten year old? Also, what is your point? Should women in western countries cover themselves with black sheets to avoid rape, since according to you, men are too stupid and unable to control themselves from raping someone? Also what about your own country? Is the UK not "secular" as well? Maybe you should consider moving to Saudi Arabia.

  • @JohannaMirthless: no by all means. you should go out late at night to parts areas of town dressed like a hooker. go to parties and leave your drinks with strangers. constantly put yourselves in compromising positions after all a women should dress/behave however she wants. just dont be surprised when reality proves to be far different form the la la land that you seem to live in. not all men are rapists. a rapist would rape no matter what. the 'sluts' are fighting 4 the right to be easy targets

  • Dress like a decent hot bitch and you wont get raped, plain and simple.

  • Why the fuck were you laughing about that? It's not funny

  • Who the fuck are these three losers that have taken over TYT?

  • Male doctors give female patients breast exams and pap smears, and they aren't tempted to rape.

  • if you are staying in Toronto, dont dress like sluts

  • When some girls walk into a room, they want ALL guys to want her. It's called an attention whore. When I go to the club, I see many girls dressed as sexy as they can legally get away with. I do believe they want attention from the 'hot' guys, and not the unattractive ones. Personally, as a (handsome, i think) man I don't care about getting attention from ugly women, because I'm used to dating attractive women. Only hot women can boost my ego. Slutty dressing women are lacking self esteem.

  • These men are a bunch of buffoons in this video, and they are so very stupid that they even do not know that they are being stupid ,it's like watching a satirical burlesque...hahahaha

  • i hate when men want to blame women for their lust. anyway, this is so beside the point, because rape is not about sex, it is about violence. relating it to a women's way of dress just further perpetuates the myth that rape is about lust.

  • girls these days dress like dominatrix sluts with leather black high heel boots and fishnet stockings are back in style.. short shorts and string tops, yeah sorry girls but your targeting yourself for sex offenders. dress like a normal person or don't be alone when your trying to look "sexy" and carry mace.

  • Your just wealthy because you want some one to steal your money.

  • As a Canadian i'm not disappointed that a member of our police force.. I just wish i had heard this on the canadian news

  • The cop was right.

  • I don't think tight clothes in public necessarily cause rape. But they will cause men to look and perhaps make sexual solicitations or comments. Women should stop walking around in tight clothes and then bitching when men look at their tits and ass. That would be like a young straight guy putting on a pink fairy dress, going to a gay bar and then bitching that gay guys hit on him. Young woman in tight clothes will get attention from guys 12-90 years old.

  • @steviesbackbitch

And that is different. If a woman goes out wearing clothes that attract atention of the oposite sex, I am sure they are well aware of it. And I don't think they mind, seriously, there are a lot of those who... you could say crave for men's attention. But that does not mean they want to be raped. No one wants. What you said is true, but irrelevant.

  • @steviesbackbitch tight clothes DO NOT cause rape. period. rape is about violence and dominance, not the sexual act itself. u are right that women who wear really revealing clothing shouldn't complain about being leered at/hit on. i think the gray area is when women wear normal clothing and are still leered at.

  • @sydandtaytum Men are always going to check out women. Tight clothed or not. As if women don't check out guys.

  • @Twinkier1 no, women don't check out guys the same way guys check out girls. maybe u should brush up on your knowledge of women. in the same vein, most guys would love to be checked out by girls because it feeds their ego- however, a lot of women are uncomfortable being leered at by anyone other than the person they are interested in. basically- guys need ALL girls to want him, girls only want ONE guy to want her (the guy she wants or is already with).

  • @sydandtaytum In what way is it different? Sounds like a double standard to me.

  • @Twinkier1 it is a double standard- but it happens to be true.

  • @sydandtaytum Oh I agree. Just don't complain about it then.

  • that's bullshit.

  • OMFG...yah ok...let's impose Burka's on women while "Man Boobs" are flopping out all over the place in the streets. Give me a break!!!!

  • hes just saying dont walk around with a big red target on your back... come on women have some regard for the safety and take into account how fucked up the world is...

  • Consider, people, when I walk around in hot summer in a small dress, I am not asking for it. It's hot. It's not your business. Leave me alone.

  • The cop is right, don't dress like a slut if you don't want the attention. If you want the attention then be aware that you will probably get attention from all kind of mens, of whom some are racist.

  • I agree with the cop. I understand that girls want to show off their bodies but if I can see your ass hanging out of your tiny pants and you tits popping out of you singlet, I think I have a right to look.

  • @CobbleStoneist No one is talking about looking, they're talking about agressive behaviour and assault, do you think you have the right to grab a woman or even have sex with her if she says no? regardless of what she is wearing?

  • @LemonyCain No I don't think it is right. Though they are encouraging possible unwanted attention from these people by dressing that way

  • Not saying its acceptable for anyone to rape anyone, but come on! Dressing like a slut and not expecting male arousal is stupid. What if i ran around Iraq with american flags covered all over me shooting a gun in the air, wouldnt it be stupid if i got shot, sure its not ok for them to shoot me but wth do you expect. Sorry some guys (and girls) are messed up, but dont encourage them. Common sense.

  • @mattjones2300 I couldn't disagree more. Let's try another - you just bought a Ferrari and drove it around town.

Someone saw it, followed you, and when you got home he stole it from you.

Are you then partly at fault for driving your flashy car around town?

    Not really!

  • @auritone No it's your fault for leaving the car door unlocked and not having it in a secure environment. :P

  • If you park an expensive car at night in the streets of a bad neighborhood you are more likely to have stolen or striped. Rape, mugging etc are crimes of opportunity. Just like an animal standing out from the herd provoking a predatory response of a pack of predators, a drunk man walking alone to the ATM will get mugged and girl dressed like a prostitute walking back from a club late puts herself at risk. It is stupid and irresponsible to put yourself at risk.

  • Feminists in particular and women in general think because you have the right to wear what you want you should dress as prostitutes whenever and wherever. To also attack a policeman who wants to spare you the agony and the life long scars of a brutal rape is the height of stupidity. Radical feminists want more women raped so that they can get more money and power to their organizations and women studies chairs.

  • @ibmsony101 Honestly, what you are doing is removing culpability from the perpetrator to the victim.

There is never ANY excuse for sexual assualt - no matter how a person dresses!

If you were seen talking or texting on your mobile in public and someone decided to mug you to get your phone that would be your own fault?

    Absolutely not!

The only stupid and irresponsible thing here is blaming the victims of crimes commited against them!

  • Honestly, you seem to not have understood my point at all. Most men would hang rapists from the nearest tree if they could. My whole point is that as long as the criminal elements are a foot, one has to take prudent precautions such as avoiding certain places when you are alone, it is late and you are dressed like a street walker. Obviously, most women are less logical and more emotional, so my argument will fall flat. Have a nice life.

  • @ibmsony101 Well, maybe you should explain yourself better then. You see people can actually dress the way they want. The fact that you seem to believe that a certain way of dressing reminds you of a prostitute does not exactly qualify as an argument.

You see, women get raped regardless of how they dress - even regardless of looks and age.

The only reason to use that as an argument is either because of ignorance or to shift culpability.

    Either way it doesn't work.

  • I never said that people have no right to dress as they darn well please. I am a libertarian, and as such, I believe in individual freedom. But just because you can do something, it does not mean it is prudent in all circumstances. Also, a certain way of dressing reminds most people of prostitutes whether you choose to acknowledge it or not. I did not blame the victim... I said be smart and proactive to help reduce a horrible crime. We only have a disconnect due to your closed mindedness!

  • @ibmsony101 Sorry, but calling people sluts and saying that feminists want more women raped didn't do much for your arguments.

Also, as I stated, whatever women are wearing has very little if any influence on a rapist. They will rape a woman wearing overalls. Clothing has practically nothing to do with it.

So again, the argument about how women dress falls flat.

  • I did not call anyone who dresses immodestly a slut- I said "like a slut" which aptly describes that style of dress. Also, Career feminists' livelihood and prestige are tied to presenting themselves as the protectors and advocates of women surrounded by evil rapist men ready to ravage them. You better believe that they love their titles and salaries just like war profiteers liking the money they make off people' war misery. I say wake up sunshine and see the world for what it is!

  • @ibmsony101 So you don't call them sluts, you simply imply it?

But how about adressing the reasons for rape are usually anger and control and NOT about sex or the clothes people wear. Sex is "merely" the "weapon of choice".

How about looking at the pathology of rapists rather than what people wear?

  • @auritone I am done arguing with you. If you want to dress proactively and walk late in the streets of some Danish city filled with 3rd world Muslim immigrants (occupiers) who would see you as cheap meat, and would have have no problem gang raping you to within an inch of your life, go right ahead. The U.S. and other countries have indigenous rapist problem, but you, smart Danes, decided to import the problem from every shit hole in the world. Good luck with that and have a safe life.

  • @ibmsony101 Well, I do believe your last comment speaks volumes .

    Bye now.

  • CORRECTION! UOT, University of Toronto, is the BIG university in Toronto! York second :D

  • "Dressing slutty" means "dressing to sexually attract and arouse men."

So, explain: Why is being "politically correct" more important than an officer stating the obvious?

  • @ShoeTossLady

No, I'm pretty sure that's common sense. Kinda like how a non-affiliated person shouldn't go into Compton with a business suit and a 30k gold chain on his neck.

  • Wait, let me get this straight, this guy is being crucified by a mob of angry females because what he said is common sense? So he should have worded it better for the sake of being PC and that double standard BS, but is what he said really any different from any other situation like a KKK white supremacist going out in public with that costume and not expect to get assaulted or harassed by other, non-white racial groups?

  • I don' care if women walk around naked!

It's still not an excuse to fucking rape them!

It doesn't give them "part of the blame" either!

    Yeah, let's blame the victim...

    Holy crap!

  • @auritone yes it does give them part of the blame

  • @suchafool990 Nope! Claiming that is merely an excuse for the rapist! Would you claim that a person withdrawing money and then get robbed is partly at fault for being robbed?

Is a person at fault for being burgled because he owns an expensive TV and a high-end computer?

The perpetrator is at fault - period!

  • @ShoeTossLady Tsk tsk.

    1. Women are the weaker sex. Face it, it's a FACT.

    2. Walking on well-lit streets and in the company of men would make her less vulnerable to rape.

And YES, a woman who walks alone in a dark-lit street, and gets raped, is as responsible for the misfortune as getting your fingers shredded when you put them next to a blender.

And before you say anything, I AM a male chauvinist pig and a knuckle-dragging Neanderthal, and I am more than happy to ruin your day.

  • @JunnyICurosi i agreed with you until you said "And YES, a woman who walks alone in a dark-lit street, and gets raped, is as responsible for the misfortune as getting your fingers shredded when you put them next to a blender"

yes she should be careful but she is not equally responsible for it... rape is 100% the rapists fault

  • @JunnyICurosi at least ur honest

  • Damn, Anna is HOT! I wouldn't mind planting my face on that chest!

  • If youre beautiful then youre beautiful it doesnt really matter what you were Yes These sick motherfuckers may think a girl who dresses minimum is a easy traget..Are you telling if adriana Lima just came out with a simple shirt and jeans she wont attracte sick men.It doesnt fucking matter women are being molested around the world even so called in middle east were the dress humble If youre attractive doesnt matter what the hell you were..Youre clothes dont make your Beauty you face and body does

  • @ShoeTossLady rape is mostly by people the girl knows, and its usually not simply about attraction, and even then, you will find that most girls raped did not dress like sluts or hoes.

This is such an old ignorant myth that conservative people tend to use as an easy excuse to push the issue aside.

So no, saying a girl is dressing like a slut is a problem because it fosters misconceptions.

Its simply bad advice because rape doesnt work that way.

  • York is one of 3 big universities in Toronto, the main one being, the University of Toronto (U of T). Then there is York University and Ryerson University.

  • WOw IS the world that political that stating some common sense must be apologized for??? Of course it's wrong to rape but don't be a dumbass and dress like a hoe on the street wondering why you're getting harassed, Ofc guys should be more respectful, but point is regardless whether the topic is on sexual assault if you want respect from others you need it for yourself first.

  • @Jose01tutter I believe this is not about harassment. Totally different topic.

Again, rape is mostly by people the girl knows, and its usually not simply about attraction, and even then, you will find that most girls raped did not dress like sluts or hoes.

This is such an old ignorant myth that conservative people tend to use as an easy excuse to push the issue aside.

  • @ShoeTossLady I think that people have forgotten that although men and women are equal, they are in some ways quite different. Bearing that in mind, both sexes should dress appropriately, but for the female, they should be aware that they are more vulnerable to sexual assaults, and stop dressing the way they are dressing. I guess we're on the same page then.

  • @pamfan221 rape is mostly by people the girl knows, and its usually not simply about attraction, and even then, you will find that most girls raped did not dress like sluts or hoes.

This is such an old ignorant myth that conservative people tend to use as an easy excuse to push the issue aside.

So no, saying a girl is dressing like a slut is a problem because it fosters misconceptions.

Its simply bad advice because rape doesnt work that way.

  • @ShoeTossLady

I agree. That sounds perfectly logical to me. It seems that people are more concerned with being politically correct than they are with being reasonable.

  • @ShoeTossLady When did they say that? It was: try not to dress like a slut. I don't see why people think this is dumb advice, or a stupid thing to say. You see so many women frolicking about wearing such low-cut tops that it has ceased to be surprising. Wear decently, take precautions: and you're good to go.

  • lol did anyone else get that? "my exwife..mmm.. had large breasts" ... "yeah I remember that" 2:31

  • Every good decision begins with "I know I'm not supposed to say this..."

  • "I was told not to say this." lol XD

  • RAPE also exist in Islamic middle eastern countries, yet most of their women are NOT dressed as sluts. In Saudi Arabia, a rape victim is considered a "criminal".

  • @MultiRatbu

And that's because of Sharia Law. Where it freely gives men the right to abuse a woman in any way possible and only get a slap on a wrist, probably even a medal from the community if he makes up a plot of how he had to put her in her place for her non-existent infidelity. Completely different standpoints. Not dressing promiscuous has obviously lower chances of sexual assault. Moving out of a country that supports women being treated as objects lowers the chance of death.

  • @MultiRatbu you don't know what your talking about.

    a criminal!!!!!!

if you don't know don't assume you stupid ignorant bitch.

  • @MultiRatbu

yeah but men in Saudi are strictly prohibited to avoid premarital sex and are not allowed to date. so being that controlled leads to them acting out in that manner.

  • @MultiRatbu They don't have a misguided view or anything. Criminalizing or dishonoring women for being raped I mean.

  • @MultiRatbu That's true... But who do you think is more likely to get verbally or physically assaulted... The female dressed modestly or the female in a miniskirt and a shockingly low cut top?

  • @MultiRatbu really... Another fuckin idiot who says w/e he wants a rape victim in saudi Arabia is not considered as a criminal, Lol u sounded idiotic Tbh

  • wow of all the strories you didnt do the police attacking peaceful protesters at the g20 , the CRTC might be capping are internet usage .you choose this one?? kinda feels like u just chose this to make fun of somethin

  • Comment removed

  • This is exactly why law enforcement shouldn't be monopolized.

  • I'd like to see the numbers on the rapists who sit in bushes waiting for a chick with a short enough skirt... How long do they usually wait? What's their standards? Do they really care how the chick they're just going to use as a hole dresses?

  • ew york university what a joke. only good for its business

  • "Women will be sent home if they wear makeup or heels exceeding one-quarter inch. Females are not allowed to speak to strangers unless given direct written authorization by Dwight Shrute. Women are to wear sleeves down to the wrists, button collars and muted colours. Also, I am removing all bananas from the kitchen."

    - Dwight K. Shrute's memo to all women in the office in response to Phyllis Lapin-Vance being flashed by a man with his penis on a map asking for directions.

  • @NothingBut666

    HAHAHAH I LOVE DWIGHT

  • I'm not really understanding why there's always this attitude and nobody would EVER counsel young men and say "Hey guys, don't drug and rape girls at parties. Also, no means no."

But to girls it's all "Don't dress like a slut."

    What. the. fuck.

  • Boys need 2 b physically castrated 4 rape n then killed.

If u cant control tha lil winkie, it's the boys problem n he needs death if he acts as a rabid dog.

Dont ever blame a woman 4 your sin

    moron

  • @LadySePe Woha, it's fine with if someone wants justice, but someone who fantasizes about torturing someone else like you do should see a shrink.

  • @595o Jesus is The Answer, boy.

  • @LadySePe No, Zeus is.

  • @LadySePe According to the bible the woman is also a "sinner" for being raped.

  • @LadySePe

Wow, thank god we all don't have your mindset. Otherwise, we'd be in the all be in the dark ages and under the IQ of 10.

  • @regulatorzone Keep quiet black boy when women are speaking; You dont matter.

What did the Alabama sheriff call the nigger who had been shot 15 times?

Worst case of suicide he had ever seen.

    Holla!

  • I'm not saying I think he's right, I just have trouble seeing how he's wrong.

I don't know much about how the mind of a rapist works, but it seems to me that a rapist would be more inclined to go after someone who dresses like Barbie than someone who dresses like Raggedy Ann.

Again, I'm not claiming to have all the answers about rapists, so don't get up my ass about it. (Pun intended)

  • @blackkakari Do rapists have that many opportunities and therefore a choice? I guess they take anyone when they feel like it (I am talking about the street-rapists here).

  • How many disasterous statements have been prefixed with: "I've been told not to say this, but..."

  • Ana is a slut

  • If someone wants to rape a person they go for the clean innocent looking ones... All this clothing stuff is like saying. ''Kids, if you don't want to be molested by a pedo stop acting cute and innocent.'' What IS slutty clothes... shorts and tank tops? You know, SUMMER clothes for when it's HOT outside? I personally don't dress ''slutty''... I lean more towards the cute type clothes then the sexy type but regardless of looks a pedo is still a pedo and a rapist is still a rapist.

  • 2:32 "ah i remember" hahahahahaha

  • I suppose only women that dress like 'sluts' ever get sexually assaulted. Maybe he should tell that to women who wear BURKHAS and still end up raped.

  • Didn't every girl's father give her the EXACT same advice?Yeah,it's not something that you want to say in public (and it's not even good advice:the Middle East has a high level of rape and those women are covered from head to toe),but really, the officer was just being a man.It sounds bad,but it's true.

  • @elzakrasz fuck no, I would never give my daughter this fuck-wad advice. I would train her to use knives and a gun and keep her armed. She can dress how she wants, you try to rape her, she'll stab your balls, your eyes and kick you into a ditch

  • @ytgv3fc7 That's all good and all but you should teach your daughter how not to degrade herself.

  • @fmcneillii That's all well and good but the only way she or anyone can be degraded is by believing the words of this officer.

For all I care people can live naked but be well trained and armed so the first attempt at sexual assault leads to cut off balls and a skull with no eyeballs to the perpetrator. The right to dress as she likes is 100% and shall not be defied upon penalty of mutilation and death.

Your insane beliefs have already degraded YOURself

  • OMG I'm Canadian and I denounce and reject this officer. I guess it's true that you get idiots and assholes in all groups.

    :P

  • This basically summarizes Canadian crime-preventation plans.

  • this isn't "blaming the victim." it's about being smart. believe it or not, but a guy that's willing to rape a girl will get tempted even more if a girl dresses provocatively.

it's like when somebody tells you... when you go visit a certain part of town or of a certain foreign country you're not familiar with, don't walk around flashing money or dressing like you've got money.. because somebody who's willing to rob you will get tempted...

bottom line, just be smart about how you dress...

  • @elnegrobembon Theft happens because you have something I want. Rape happens because the rapist is on a power trip. Rapists would rather attack a 4'9 burka'd woman than a 5'7 scantily dressed woman because the short one is much easier to dominate. Because sex is humiliating, rapists use it as a means to exert power. If counting backwards from 10 was the most humiliating thing, rapists would make their victims do that. However, "man" = aggressive, and we associate that to sex, so that's why.

  • There's some truth to what he said and it shows a double standard we have.

If a man asked how to avoid being mugged we might advice him not to openly show his money or an expensive piece of jewelry or technical equipment. If somebody tells a woman that she should not dress in a provocative way, he gets trashed.

A man who writes books about selfdefence once said "In a perfect world a woman can walk into a biker bar naked and go out unharmed. In this world she'd better avoid it."

  • @PeterK1984 That's different. Theft is not always a power trip. Rape is not about sex. It's about power, domination and humiliation. If the most humiliating thing was to count backwards from 10, rapists would make their victims do just that. But "man" is associated with power/aggression, and sex is hyper-valued. Women keep getting objectified. Rape is sexless (in terms of male/female), emotionless domination. Whether or not you dress scantily does not matter. Rape is power, sex is the means.

  • @PeterK1984 Theft is usually because the other person has something you want. So if I wanted a Rolex, and you were wearing a Rolex, and there was nobody around, I might just steal that Rolex from you. If I am a man (I know that not all rapists are men, by the way), and I am not looking for power or to dominate, and you dressed in a bustier, miniskirt and tights with stilettos, I would not rape you (bc it's wrong). Of course, this is an oversimplification, but it conveys my message well enough.

  • Go to the middle east and wearing anything less than a full on veil would be enough to call you a "slut" and excuses will be made to justify you being raped by sexually repressed males.

I better go veil up my car to stop others from stealing it, obviously a flashy car is worth being stolen surely 0_o

  • Right... York is the big university in Toronto...

  • Why is it so stupid to say that?

Rapist are predatory sociopaths; sub-human animals.

When you go into the forests or jungles there are precautions to be taken that you adhere to so that you don't attract predators.

If, statistically, "dressing like a slut" attracts "urban" predators, then it's the duty of those who "Serve & Protect" to speak the plain truth about this "untouchable" subject.

Particularly when at a seminar specifically aimed at "How to protect yourself from Sexual Assault."

  • @grizzzlyjoe Because you can always say "they were asking for it". It's a lie.

  • @jotunobsidianeyes If a woman camps out in the woods where there are bears during her menstrual cycle ... she's asking for a bear attack. If you wear an all black wet suit and act like a seal in waters with Great Whites or Killers Whales ... your asking to be attacked.

What part of, "Rapists are predatory sociopaths; sub-human animals" did you not understand?

  • @grizzzlyjoe I don't really think that rapists are necessarily sociopaths. I of course like to think they are, but it's probably down to being in the position to seize that feeling of power. Have there been any tests on convicted rapists?

  • These guys ramble a lot. Can't really keep my attention.

  • lol, it really is sorta true, if you are very hot, guys will look at you and think about you. that doesnt mean that you should be expected to not dress how you want. If you pack your house full of expensive things you are more likley to be robbed, that doesnt mean you should not be able to have expensive things in your house. I think all he is trying to say is that provocative clothings lead to more sexual assaults. He did add in "slut" and i think that word is why its a story, not the idea.

  • i live in toronto and am going to york university....i made it on tyt.. yay!!!! thumbs up. i agree with the cop.

  • rapist might be stupid but they aren't stupid it's easier to rape someone wearing a mini-skirt than it is to rape someone wearing jeans

    there I said it

and no that doesn't make it ok or make it wrong for women to dress how they please but it's just a fact

  • although not dressing a certain way could help get rid of some kinds of attention from certain ppl...when it comes to rape that really isn't that much of a factor. Children and women get raped all the time and it has nothing to do with dressing sexual. It has a lot more to do with opportunity.. which is why it's usually family members or ppl close to someone in their life.

  • @Heatherbtime But women like prostitutes get raped FAR more often than regular women.

  • @fmcneillii well that's a whole different matter. working in that line of work and yes it puts you much more at risk. But that doesn't really have to do with the clothes. It's more the situation that your constantly going into. It's something i know a lot about in a more personal way. But once again, that goes back to having much more to do with oppurtunity, as i said before.

  • Stay classy, Toronto Police.

  • He is trying to protect them from sicko slime like you.

  • Women should be man-up like Hillary and wear man suits.

  • The cop gave good advice

  • Rape-apologist victim-blaming bullshit.

  • @lilmissnisa this is about sexual harrassment, not specifically rape. so a guy grabbing ass counts, and that happens cuz he gets drunk and thinks that cuz the girl is dressed provacativly there for fuck it, and goes in for te squeeze, it aint blaming the vicitim, its explaining the motive of the perp

  • How about I dress like a slut and carry around a gun? :) or just good martial arts? But no, depends what they mean "dress as a slut". If it's 90 degrees outside I'm wearing a miniskirt and a tank top.

  • @dragonofthedarknight do so at your own risk ;)

  • It's not that a woman deserves sexual assault for dressing like that, BUT you draw the wrong attention to yourself when you slut. The officer is right although the world hates the truth so they will prosecute him for it. smh...

  • This format is great

  • if they had never got the vote there would be no problem !

a voteless woman is a happy woman

    :)
