@moxie96 I'm in your age group. I was born in '59. I saw a lot of these on Ed Sullivan back in the day. He would announce a certain artist or group to be on the show, then he would just show a film of them quite like this one. I think they made it easier for the variety shows to use pre-produced films rather than go through the logistics of having them perform in the studio.
