ATTENTION MAC (and PC?) USERS: I've done it with a magic mouse. Always pull it up and in the suggested A-left or D-right direction. But ALWAYS up until the S-down comes.
You can max out the up towards the end so just go in the suggested left or right. And SLOWLY drag your mouse up until you hit the top of the mouse pad then QUICKLY return it to the bottom of the mouse pad and SLOWLY drag it up again. It was cool in concept, bad in execution and worse porting it to mouse and keyboard.
My problem is that it never starts to glow green, although the A and D buttons (using pc) stops to tell which way to pull the ship, and the mouse stops telling me move up or down, still it never starts to glow green...
I like the story and the game is interesting. Now I am in no way saying anything should be easy, but wtf is with the bosses. GEEZ I mean you have a junk one that hits you for shit and then out of no where almost one-hits you and a chick who stays invisible the whole fight only to show herself when ready to throw her weapons and then a GD SHIP!? Geez I'm all for making things more challenging, but isn't that what the difficulty setting is for? I cannot imagine this on its hardest setting. lol
When centering it put the point up even if it is saying pull down, push up. If it is red and not saying what to do, push up. It will be green. Have the ship be level with the ground and center. To take down ships jump up and use lightning.If you get stuck and can't seem to move the ship, start the level over. It may take a while. Have force push fully upgraded.
Omg I hate this stage, I have already destroyed one controller to this game because of it. The words " grab that ship and pull it out of the sky" are now burned into my mind. The indicater for the ship will not turn green twards the end, and doesn't let me pull it down anymore. You can Imagin my frustration when I just now learned you can use force lighting to destroy the tie fighters.
I found this level VERY easy aside from the PC bug where the indicator doesn't work after a while. But it is easy to get it aligned correctly, the SD has to be level with the surface of the planet for the indicator to turn green. After that it is just all about dodging tie fighter blasts while hitting them with F. Lightning and inching the SD to where it needs to go.
an important note, you have to take some TF fire on the last pull to beat the level, least I did, otherwise I couldn't finish
wtf ya know this is bs for the pc!!....fucking now I might have to hook up my 360 controller just to beat this god for saken level, and hopefully that works....the star destroyer moves extremely slow for the mouse...and the fact it failes to tell wish direction to go after a few times....bs

stupidest mission in the history of gaming. never forget how it struggled with that mission probably a few hours. was not needed and you will see that they gave her strength. but the game is fun.

Ok PC players, after about 4 hours I have developed a solid strategy that works everytime! Heres how it goes
1) on the first turn just align the destroyer up perfectly in the middle and keep the nose high up, don't pull it down.
2) when ties come you MUST kill them in 2/3 rounds very quick and then pull down the destroyer. You will be able to pull the sob down real fast since it should still be aligned.
3) rinse and repeat and move the mouse SLOWLY up when moving the nose.
For those who were complaining here about this part- try it on a PC version. That's really the bloodiest thing in the game, until you learn how to beat controls.

S is nothing more than move backwards in W.A.S.D keyboard configuration. This part is all about moving the Star Destroyer to certain position, then keeping shown buttons pressed, as the Apprentice forces it to go down
Sorry to have you wait- had to see again how it looks like. So, A and D serve to turn the Imperial left and right, moving mouse up force it's bow to go up. You have to turn her and go up until field between buttons turns green, then keep S button pressed and move mouse down, thus bringing Imperial down. TIEs will occasionally try to kill you, and Imperial will move to one of her sides, so you have to repeat the process. The less you make the process, the easier this part is.
you have to destroy about 3 sets of tie fighters with lightning coz it's quicker than throwing the boulder, then on the 3rd time you force grab the star destroyer it doesn't return upwards, it stays down.. then you destroy 3 more sets of tie fighters and then bring the destroyer down. . took me ages until i realised you can use lightening on the tie's lol if you think thats hard you wait till the next level DEATH STAR
i found the next bit harder (the beginning of the death star level)
the ammount of droid troopers and At/At walkers you had to kill was unreal lol. anyways i think i'm quite close to the emperor now so.. that'l keep me going for a while. laters

Dude, this level fucking sucks. I usually like challenging games...challenging, not fucking impossible. I tried this on sith warrior difficulty for many hours a day until, finally, I got tired and lowered the difficulty. Then I got through it, but there goes my achievement of completing the game on sith warrior difficulty.
The guy who designed this level can fucking suck a pickle and go to hell!!!!!!!!! But a good game overall.
Man this level sucks on the PC...been at this one part for an hour...I follow the bloody directions but wait...it stops telling me what keys to click! then I have to
"guess" and randomly hope I manage to snag the pull down....oh but wait again...the Tie Fighters have already respawned and are on top of me forceing me to let go again...yup....great level -_-

I dont have any problems destroying the tie fighters, even a lot faster than this guy... but the problem is im using a logitech mx518 gaming mouse. And it is immposiblle to pull the nose of the destryoer up when hes already down a lot.... i guess they didnt think about us pc players

Agreed. I'm about to ram a knife into my monitor after failing the Star Destroyer for the 101th time on the PC ... My best so far is the third wave, but why the f*** did they have to improve it? The consol level was hard sure enough, but the PC-improved-level is just stupidly hard. Aspyr, go **** yourself -- you dont deserve to call yourself developers.

yea it's annoying for sure. You just have to move your mouse to the direction you must veryyyyyy slowly. VERY slowly. That way you can avoid stroking your mouse left right up down etc...good luck.
the fucking guidance system is wrong, it says i should move it down more and more, but no green light showing. I tried it the other way(turning the belly of the ship towards me)and the guidance system said i was doing it wrong and suddenly i could pull it down and i completed the lvl.
this is fucking stupid i bring down the tie fighters in quicker than i can use my force lightning but i just stand there trying to adjuts the fucking ship for hours, it's almost at the ground.
This was easy. Hide behind the posts but just enough to be able to use the force on the tie fighters, then throw them into each other and you get energy back for everyone you kill. If you jump about you're more likely to get killed.
Then crack on and pull the destroyer down, then repeat the first step when the tie fighters come out again.
I got this on my first play through the game, I didn't have to try a million times. Why did people find it so difficult? You just have to dispatch the TIE fighters as quickly as possible, so you can get back to what you were doing.
But it is a shitty game, I really don't feel that I control the character. Sure I can give him commands but he does them with delay and sometimes ignore what i tell to do. Saber boss fighting levels suck too - you have very little controll over what you do. Jedi knight was much more better, at least you felt you controll the character. "Kick ass with the force" is the motto of the team that developed this game. But what do you expect from people that have very little experience with video games?
I can't do this bit at all, every time i get the thing moving more tie fighters come at me. and then i can't reset the bloody ship, it's the most frustrating thing i've ever come across. hope they don't do shit like this in the second game. really fucks me off
I think they purposely made this part difficult, so that players would feel some of the pressure that Starkiller does when doing this. And I must say, it's quite satisfactory when one brings down the SD on one's own. Thanks for the video.

use lightning on them. all you need is for it to hit it momentarily and it'll crash giving you time to move onto the next. if you time it quickly you can get them all done in one or two passes
I remember when I got to this part I thought "All right! This should be the best part of the whole game, this is what I was waiting for!" -one hour later- "I hate this! This should have been the best part of the game, this isn't what I was waiting for!"
i finally got past this part, those bloody tie fighters done my nut in.everytime i got at the point where u had 2 drag it down more ie fighters came, and to make things worse the bloody ship when back to the same position.
This bit is seriously fucking me off big time. TIE after TIE after fucking TIE. I would not mind, but the fucking destroyer moves back to near where it began. At least fucking stay still!!!
oh yea max upgrade ur hp,the ting that makes ur force(blue bar)regen faster thats all adn try to level up 3to5 times before u battle the destroyer. wish this tip helps

i heard that sometimes, you can just try to look at the bottom of the star destroyer when it's centered. when done correctly, Kota will tell you to bring it down.

Man this level sucks on the PC...been at this one part for an hour...I follow the bloody directions but wait...it stops telling me what keys to click! then I have to
"guess" and randomly hope I manage to snag the pull down....oh but wait again...the Tie Fighters have already respawned and are on top of me forceing me to let go again...yup....great level -_-
Next time make the insctructions acurate and exact for the PC ok?

@rkoomen15 Yes I beat it...I'd never let such a game beat me....=) although it remains the most frustrating game encounter I have ever had.
This level here pretty much killed the fun in the game for me. It makes you mad enough to put a fist through a wall for sure.

I dont have any problems destroying the tie fighters, even a lot faster than this guy... but the problem is im using a logitech mx518 gaming mouse. And it is immposiblle to pull the nose of the destryoer up when hes already down a lot.... i guess they didnt think about us pc players

Agreed. I'm about to ram a knife into my monitor after failing the Star Destroyer for the 101th time on the PC ... My best so far is the third wave, but why the f*** did they have to improve it? The consol level was hard sure enough, but the PC-improved-level is just stupidly hard. Aspyr, go **** yourself -- you dont deserve to call yourself developers.

yea it's annoying for sure. You just have to move your mouse to the direction you must veryyyyyy slowly. VERY slowly. That way you can avoid stroking your mouse left right up down etc...good luck.

I got it now WIEE, and why did it take so long?
the fucking guidance system is wrong, it says i should move it down more and more, but no green light showing. I tried it the other way(turning the belly of the ship towards me)and the guidance system said i was doing it wrong and suddenly i could pull it down and i completed the lvl.

This was easy. Hide behind the posts but just enough to be able to use the force on the tie fighters, then throw them into each other and you get energy back for everyone you kill. If you jump about you're more likely to get killed.
Then crack on and pull the destroyer down, then repeat the first step when the tie fighters come out again.

I got this on my first play through the game, I didn't have to try a million times. Why did people find it so difficult? You just have to dispatch the TIE fighters as quickly as possible, so you can get back to what you were doing.

But it is a shitty game, I really don't feel that I control the character. Sure I can give him commands but he does them with delay and sometimes ignore what i tell to do. Saber boss fighting levels suck too - you have very little controll over what you do. Jedi knight was much more better, at least you felt you controll the character. "Kick ass with the force" is the motto of the team that developed this game. But what do you expect from people that have very little experience with video games?

I can't do this bit at all, every time i get the thing moving more tie fighters come at me. and then i can't reset the bloody ship, it's the most frustrating thing i've ever come across. hope they don't do shit like this in the second game. really fucks me off

I think they purposely made this part difficult, so that players would feel some of the pressure that Starkiller does when doing this. And I must say, it's quite satisfactory when one brings down the SD on one's own. Thanks for the video.

use lightning on them. all you need is for it to hit it momentarily and it'll crash giving you time to move onto the next. if you time it quickly you can get them all done in one or two passes

this part of the game is so fucking epic!! but it annoyed me so much when i tried it first time, i started the game at midnight and was playing til about 10am and gave up on this part, tried it after a little sleep and then did it, it's so satisfying knowing you pulled a star destroyer out of orbit!! =D

i was fucking yelling shit and fuck when i did this part. its so fucking anyoing. i was like " burn in hell mother fucker!!" when i got it down. and you cant pull it down at first try. you must pull it down much as possible and then when the tie fighters come you must stop pulling the starship. when you kill the fighters you do it again. and again. yes and we all hate the purge troopers, if you have good mana ( the force capacity)you can use lightning attack to kill those mother fuckers.

Who the hell thought that people would enjoy this part! The cutscene is cool but man it can be a Biatch to get this BS done!
Also who's genius idea was it to make purge troopers with heat seeking rockets and an endless stream of HP FFS! I HATE PURGE TROOPERS! They somewhat ruin the game!!!!!

i heard that sometimes, you can just try to look at the bottom of the star destroyer when it's centered. when done correctly, Kota will tell you to bring it down.
