Most bands over 30 years could not show the range and ideas the beatles had in 6 years of recording.They could have stayed with their cookie cutter pop "popular" I want to hold your hand" stuff, but they were dissatisfied with same ol same ol, so they innovated, created, changed,expressed. Awsome group. Much of the stuff they had to come up on their own.Bands with all this technology at their disposal lack the innovation/creative spirit

One way to take a rooftop/or wearing sgt peppers wardrobe is someone trying to do a tribute to a great timeless band.Macca/beatles were very innovative.If someone wants to do a tribute, good for them.
