This is just like canned hunting. An animal is raised like a pet, someone picks them out of a cage or they are released into unfaimilar and sometimes fenced areas where there is no way they can get away. This isn't real hunting. To those who say this is pest control, these birds were bred for the shooting. They would never have been born if this activity didn't exist. No one goes around caging birds in people backyards for this.

Although I hunt I do kind of understand where you're coming from. You should only shoot animals if they are causing damage to land and you eat them afterwards. And I don't like the fact that they spend their whole life in cages surely this is no different to clay pigeon shooting as you don't even hunt them you just let them off, shoot them then through them away.

The birds that you watched not flying, in another video, were either sick or simply not ready to fly yet. Some did not look like wild trapped city pigeons [which are NEVER illegal to trap], but rather like domestic birds.

This isn`t pigeon shooting, the pigeons here are in pens and realesed. That is not great I admit. But real pigeon shooting is in a field and protecting the farmers crop.

Wow, I have nothing against hunting these birds, but not like this. One, I wouldn't use a shotgun, I'd be using an air rifle. Something that I actually know where the bullet will hit for that quick, painless kill.

I live in the UK and I have live with a family in which the majority have shown an interest in shooting of some sort whether it be with an air rifle or a shotgun, and I to enjoy shooting. However me and most of my family believe that if your gonna hunt something it might as well require some skill, this form of shooting requires none and why not just use clays? They dont need feeding or looking after simply because there made of pot and are cheap.Here the birds live free not in a box

Gonna be honest, I was strongly against hunting, but then I grew up.
I'm being serious, I grew up and learned about how devastating an pest can be.
Even though they're hunted rabbits cause as much as £50,000,000 (that's £50million) or $78,000,000 USD worth of damage to agriculture a year, which not only severely effects the farmer who makes very little for hard manual labour, but also affects the government which has to import damaged crops/food sources which effects tax payers (inc. famers).

Though i can't speak for these hunters as I have only shot pigeons on farming property, I find it sad that your group like many others are not willing to learn and/or understand the concept and need of hunting. Currently pigeon populations, both in urban and rural locations are quite high and need to be controlled. This goes for many species. From what i can tell these birds were taken from over populated places.

The birds that you watched not flying, in another video, were either sick or simply not ready to fly yet. Some did not look like wild trapped city pigeons [which are NEVER illegal to trap], but rather like domestic birds.

Wow, I have nothing against hunting these birds, but not like this. One, I wouldn't use a shotgun, I'd be using an air rifle. Something that I actually know where the bullet will hit for that quick, painless kill.
Two, they would be wild pigeons that have actually had a life and an actual chance of escaping my rifle.
Another thing I don't like is the view these people give hunters. Actual hunters that is. There is a big difference between us and them.

There is sod all else we can do about it as in the UK if we try to get it stopped we are being racist in our thinking. I live in the UK and I have live with a family in which the majority have shown an interest in shooting of some sort whether it be with an air rifle or a shotgun, and I to enjoy shooting. However me and most of my family believe that if your gonna hunt something it might as well require some skill, this form of shooting requires none and why not just use clays? They dont need feeding or looking after simply because there made of pot and are cheap.Here the birds live free not in a box

Gonna be honest, I was strongly against hunting, but then I grew up.
I'm being serious, I grew up and learned about how devastating an pest can be.
Even though they're hunted rabbits cause as much as £50,000,000 (that's £50million) or $78,000,000 USD worth of damage to agriculture a year, which not only severely effects the farmer who makes very little for hard manual labour, but also affects the government which has to import damaged crops/food sources which effects tax payers (inc. famers).

Though i can't speak for these hunters as I have only shot pigeons on farming property, I find it sad that your group like many others are not willing to learn and/or understand the concept and need of hunting. Currently pigeon populations, both in urban and rural locations are quite high and need to be controlled. This goes for many species. From what i can tell these birds were taken from over populated places.
