I absolutly agree with Neil Tennant. We have the same kind of talent show in Germany as they are spreading all around the world. And it's the same concept everywhere. It seems they are just waiting for some immature characters to make fools out of themselves. I have read about that Simon Cowell. He has no clue about music, he is a pure businessman

I'm really glad to see that serious pop musicians dissociate themselves from that dishonest , unworthy crap.

This is why I love Neil Tennant- he simply calls it like he sees it, and all the quips and comments I've heard from him, I always seem to agree with (and it's not just because it's him saying them). Neil's got class, experience, and talent. And Simon has....? Loads of money and a snotty streak as long as a freight train. I love the PSB and have been listening to them for the past 30 years but can't say I totally agree with Neil on this one. Maybe pop "shouldn't" be about humilitaion but meanwhile it doesn't mean pop never evolves. Pop, like any contemporary music, reflects what's happening in the world now and the fact is the world is a mess so it's only natural that such negativity shows in pop and the culture surrounding it.
