he forgot the grease, put a little grease on the wheels but not on the band! and dont ram the drive in and out that fast you will break the teeth on the weels !! nice and slow in and out ! infact just dont do what he did there is a reason why his xbox is broke he hits it all the time spoon!

do not bang your xbox there is a good chance you will break something els what a spanner!!!! there is a small hole where you can push a tooth pick and the tray will open ! but yes cleaning does fix this ...

Okay. so i took the belt out and then the tray closed by accident. If you know how to open the tray back up please respond.

OR! you could just get a hair drier, heat the warranty sticker, place it on wax paper, open the console, disconnect the dvd drive, unscrew it, flip it over and clean it, put everything back together, and put the stick back on the middle tab -_-

Tweezers? Just open the xbox, take the drive out remove the screws and pop the top and bottom off. You can get to everything the way your doing it.

I give up on Xbox 3 shitty! The rubber band fell inside the console when I tried reattaching it. I knew it wasn't going to be easy but I took my chance. Going to sell it and buy another or just go with a PS3. Dammit!

Worked! Don't use toilet paper though. Falls apart too easy. Also, do the last step "loosening it up"! That's important. Great vid, thanks. I've now fixed this and the "open tray" issue. I love youtube. Five Stars! With the rubber band, as he says, put it around the small wheel than put it as much on the big one as you can without stretching it too much. Then you use your other hand to spin the wheel a little to catch the band. Then spin it several times. Make sure it on there well.

@koky613 There are some holes at under your disc tray and if you take a paper clip and push into those holes it will open.
