midas takes some skill, but definitely op when you get used to him. immortals galore in 1700 bracket currently.

midas will never be an OP or top tier character no matter how good the player thats playing him is simply because of the mechanics of his spells. shooting in a straight line is way too easy to dodge and if all the players are on the same level, then he just gets shut down way too hard in the early game to really do anything. its the same problem with valkyrie and pyromancer; sure we've all seen players own with them but thats just because the opposing team is bad and doesnt know how to dodge.

Midas ain't that OP at all, @ the early stages of the game he is so mana dependent that he will not have any more output damage then the spells he is casting, those spells can easily be counter with a vestment and hp/str items of any kind. But since you are pretty much playing public and not facing any particulary good opponents this hero is of class 'Faceroll'.
