I bought a case made for the 4 and it did not fit properly on the 4s because of the small piece. YOU DUMB FUCK!

@omarcorrea it's not EXACTLY real carbon fiber, but it's processed as carbon fiber, with just a few steps missing. Obviously, carbon fiber would not be so flexible. However, I own this case, and if i remove the backing, my signal goes up a lot. It is still diminished, but to the point where it is often indiscernible. The backing made a real difference for me.

@smikules they actually found out that the carbon fiber backing is what diminishes the reception the most. Without that, the case works much better. Carbon fiber is now known to block cell phone signals.

The slim opening that's on the top is actually for angled headphone jacks, the type that bends on a 90 degree angle :)))))))))))) plus it stops the jack tail from moving about. Hope the info helps

Well i have the carbon one which is completely black. i dont have a carbon back plate for it because mine didnt come with one :/ But because of the audio-jack problem i cant connect it to my speaker or the AUV in the car. so thats a very bad aspect about this case. you can fix the reception problem with this case by putting some clear nail polish on the black antenna bars on the side of the phone. the case is conductive and is causing the same problem as gripping the phone in the wrong way

When I saw that your video review was 13 minutes for this case, I wondered how much dead air could have been clipped. But I am very impressed with the review (best low budget review I've ever seen on Youtube before). You did an EXCELLENT job mentioning the negative aspects of this case - RF interference being the most important and of course potential scratching. This is actually true though the prices are coming down now. On macrumors people are buying a ton of cases at a time. This one guy bought over a $1000 from them.

Another individual said he bought 8 cases and then turned around and flipped 4 of them on eBay and that covered all of his costs.

Luckily I got one on eBay for 120 bucks with free shipping. Same price as Element's website was after shipping.

It does suck that people are doing that but a buck is a buck.
