This handset doesn't have MSN built in but you can get it by downloading eBuddy which will also give you access to G Talk, MySpace, Yahoo and AIM chat faciliies.

Bare in mind that this will use the internet or mobile internet to stay connected so ensure you have some kind of data allowance is highly reccommended :)

We were wrongfully using a 4Gb Micro SD HC card. The Viewty can only support up to 2GB.

In regards to sending recording videos to another mobile, if you are not using bluetooth then you will need to send via MMS/Picture message. This has some limitations in regards to the file size and to help you the LG Viewty has the ability to record in MMS mode. To use this do the following:

Using the slider, slide across to Video Camera (middle option) > Using the ghost menu tap the Settings cog (bottom left side of the screen > ..........

..... Now tap the 2nd option down in the frist row and this will bring up the duration option > Now change from normal to MMS and then tap save.

To get the maximum recording time for your message you will need to change to resolution to the last option which is QCIF 176x144 which will give approx 30 seconds of recording - which is good time wise but not the best quality.

Alternatively if you wanted to keep the resolution high for good quality then set up email on the handset....

Sending direct to YouTube is a little different depending on which network you have purchased will depend on whether the YouTube application is pre-installed. In the UK T-Mobile, 3 and Vodafone are the only ones with the application pre installed whereby once you have recorded a video on the ghost screen it gives you messaging options inside there one of them states 'YouTube'.

..... If you don't have this option then just jump onto your YouTube profile online using a computer and do the following:

Log in to YouTube from your computer > Click the "My Account" link in the upper right corner > Under Mobile Settings, click the "Mobile Settings" link > Click the "Edit Settings" button > Fill in all the appropriate fields > Click the "Save Settings" button.

......When you're done creating your profile, you'll see an email address that's unique to you. By sending an MMS message to that email address, you can upload videos from your mobile phone.

To reduce the size of your Muvee Studio clips following any of the following:

Ok you have 2 options and we'll explain how to do both of them:

Option 1 = Video Trim:

Slide switch into 'Gallery' press 'Camera key', now find you video and double tap on it so it starts to play it. Now as soon as it starts to play tap the 'Pause'.....

option then on the right hand side tap the 'Video Edit' option which is the last one at the bottom (looks like a paintbrush and a mountain). Now you should see a 9 option ghost menu, now choose trim and select a starting point and then an ending point. Press save, then save to new file so it doesn't overwrite the original as you'll still need that to send the other half of the video!

Option 2 = Go to your Muvee Studio > then press the sub menu on the bottom left > Select 'Music Type' > and then choose 'Use to Send'.

The second option is best as it will restrict the duration and pictures and size of the file so that you are able to send it via MMS.

Okay to do this follow these instructions:

Slide your switch into Video Camera mode (middle) > Press your big silver action key > Tap the Settings cog on the screen > Tap the video camera icon (second row, first icon - called 'Duration' > Now tap MMS

Please bear in mind that once you have chosen this, if you want the maximum time which is 30 seconds in MMS mode then tap the icon above the 'Duration' which is 'Image size' and choose 'QCIF 176 x 144'.

You can upload your own music using the video editing software (not Muvee Studio), this is called 'Audio Dubbing' - see our video editing tutorial.

However as a tip you could use all the transistion effects from the Muvee studio suite and then audio dub on top of the music. Which actually deletes the previous audio and plays the audio you want on top.
