  • factory built is shit, this salesman sold me a $1000 computer with a low profile graphics card

  • @Adam13115511 well you bought it...

  • @Adam13115511 well you bought it...

  • @ultravert try one from maplins, jetcase, same sort of thing

  • The cybertron case, is that proprietary design or can you buy that case separate?

If you can buy it, what is the name of it?

  • replace motherboard if you need a new socket..... you don't need to buy a whole new computer... and 1500 dollars on a CPU? does this guy know what he's doing?

  • @IN5OMN1AKK lol

  • Wow, that casing is damn ugly, but ye, if you know how to build your own computer, go for that!

  • @antoineen That case is epic!

  • and now there is windows 8 lol

  • 4 years ago i baught my dell xps 720 h2c eddition, and as soon as i recieved it i took it all to pieces and layed them out on my floor, and then put it back together myself so i know everything about the system, now every time i purchase a new pc that is custom or factory i do the exact same thing

  • @smishster199 sounds like OCD

  • Did he just say spend 1500-1600 dollars on a CPU...?! Wtf CPU are you getting man? 2:52

  • @mrcow94 meaby a xeon server overclocked or unlocked edition XD

  • @mrcow94 i7 extreme

  • @mrcow94 if your getting a $1500 cpu you should be able to play crysis on ultra from the mother board's built in video card 0.o

  • @mrcow94 intel xeon any of the xeon cpu will run you a $stack$ and this video is four years old

  • self building is the best way to go

  • custom and self buit

  • Custom!

  • I have a Acer Aspr and I want to updrade my video card. I want to get the GTX 570 video card and I also want to upgrade my ram can I do that without my computer blowing out. my cpu is Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q6600 2.40GHz. any type of help can be most appreciated.

    thanks

  • @TheShart1234 Uhh the570 needs a good powersupply o.o

  • @TheShart1234 course you can do that, the only thing you might need to change is your psu for extra jucie for your graphics card to run depending how big your psu is already

  • the custom case is ugly

  • @heartaman2 no, the off-the shelf case makes me want to puke, no air getting in there, might get to like 100 C lol

  • @fredfanhomie no despite airflow that custom one is ugly.

  • @heartaman2 psysically... yeah lol; but it's not a piece of clothing or something that you'll be showing for looks, so it doesn't matter

  • why is Mac even being talked about... cause mac just suks lol

  • My last off the shelf (2005) cost me $2200. At the time parts were worth $700.

Learning to build a PC is quite an easy process.

  • "look like monkey doing a math problem" LOL

  • the title of this video is pretty stupid im sure the usual everyday person could figure out the question... or anyone knows any general knowledge about Pc's

  • @morganandsergiovids finally a mac idiot who understand that he'll fail

  • @ante9224 Wow I thought morgan was being sarcastic and taking the piss out of macs! Lol turns out he was trying to be serious... (what the fuck is he thinking)

  • @morganandsergiovids dude stfu, you are so wrong-.-

  • To dump all crapware before you setup your pc's os, clean install over that.

  • i thought it was Linus from NCIX. damn press Youtube link again

  • lol this is before windows 7

  • @yamum987style no shit dude ;)

  • does having a lifetime warranty really mean you can get a replacement at any time , as many times as long as its not a discontinued item?

  • dude sounds like hes been under water, unclog your nose or something dude.

  • I would love a custom PC, But OS X installed. Screw Microshit.

  • The case on the left is a XClio El Diablo

  • He seems so uptight, loosen up dude its only a video! He looks like he came from a funeral!

  • i got no sound so i thing this guy is saying all 9:48min.:

    -isbflhrgtsieruhyfrefkierygfwhleriygflerwiugtfoerwgtf... L0L

  • apple software is great, video editing, etc... I like the macbooks, they're good. Your buying the design though. I've built my own pc, Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800 OC 4.10 ghz, I love this! i can make very fast renders =D, ram 4 gb OC too...dont remember the speed, but its ddr 2, and im doing it great with this set up, but now i need a graphic card, thinkin on the gtx470. By the way my motherboard Asus p5n32e-sli.

  • You get ripped off with an off-the-shelf PC. I could build an off-the-shelf PC myself for around $200. Hell, I build my mainstream gaming PC for $400-$500.

  • can someone help me? I know a lot of things factor into the speed of computers but I dont wana buy a whole lot of stuff so if I just wana buy one part to increase the speed wat part would I upgrade? I already have the ram upgraded and its helped a lot.

  • @zuuluu1 Probably your cpu or graphics card. But you'd have to make sure the cpu you get is the correct socket type, I'd probably say your graphics card is up next. A good one is usually 200+ dollars. However, with the release of some of the newer graphics cards the prices of some good ones have dropped to 160 dollars. Look up an nvidia 460 gtx. They run a little hot but can more than likely run whatever you want to play.

  • I have the one on the right. The eMachines one. IT SUCKS.

  • Comment removed

  • But this is absolutely the best option:

Know exactly what you are looking at when you take off the side panel, but just don't want to build your own, because you're still not entirely comfortable? Some stores will let you pick each individual component, and then they will build it FOR you. With NO extra trial software. And boom: it's ready to go. That truly is the best option!

  • holi shit the full tower case rips the mini one

  • can you take processors from a game console and use it for your pc?

  • @zenthex1234 can you take laptop parts and put them into you PC???? dumbass

  • @Kiratpal222 yeah, thats real supportive. thanks for the vote of confidance...

  • @Kiratpal222 hahahahahahaha, lol. Come on don't be too harsh.

  • @zenthex1234 LOL, OF COURSE NOT XD!

  • i had a bowl of rice with sauteed seasoned pork and a bowl of kimchi when i was building my first computer. It took an hour and a half...including the formating and the installation of the OS.

  • im just in the middle of sending back my ram for my custom pc got is yesterday and it was already burnt out shit luck lol this is my 3rd build and i love doing it its specs are CPU 3.0GHz AMD Athlon II X2 250 £45 Motherboard MSI 770-C45 £50 Memory 4GB 1,333MHz DDR3 £60 Graphics Card Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 6850 £150 PSU Corsair 400CX 400W £35 CPU Cooler (UK) Akasa AK-876 £15 Case Antec Three Hundred £45 Optical drive SATA DVD-RW £15 Storage 500GB SATA 3Gbps £35
  • @glennismade Lmfao thats a terribly unbalanced system

  • @TehRealCanadarocker

Lol i knoq. he's just another noob troll who has no idea what his doing.

A netbook with a intel atom procceser would perform better than that lmao

  • You can buy a retial copy of Mac OS and with a little hacking install it on any computer that is a PC non Mac computer

  • The one on the left is custom. Whats the case called?

  • I have built one this week and it is FASTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Intel Core i7 950 Socket 1366 quad-core proc. van 3,066GHz Asus p6x58d-e 6gb Corsair Dominator TR3X6G1600C8D triple channel 2x gtx 470 sli 1x OCZ Vertex 2 SATA II 3.5" SSD 120GB 1x 500gb Samsung spinpoint f3 1x blu ray player LG CH10LS20 Coolermaster 850w sli slient Antec 1200 1350 euro was the price i live in the netherlands (holland)
  • i need that 10,000 users send me 1 dollar to can buy a gaming pc XD plox :3

  • Most people don't play games but still need a computer just to do business applications and spreadsheets. Just because a computer doesn't meet your "gaming" needs, that doesn't mean it sucks. Every computer is built for something, that's where we get our business PC's, media center PC's, and gaming PC's. They are all different!

  • Totaly stupid arguments, even for a 2 year old video. Take Dell, its a normal factor build pc, but that does not mean its only for people who only gonna surf on the internett etc. If you wan't to play games or you work with photo or video, you just have the option to change to a better cpu, ram, graphic card and so on.

I would say that the differences is that with a custom gaming rig, you don't have to send in the whole pc if someting breaks down. You only have to send in the part that broken,

  • @HenningLang what he means is that on a shelf pc you're not gonna be playing crysis maxed out at 50fps+

  • he cant stop moving is wrist

  • @limpei1 he got "parkingson"

  • @Cris5598 minor though

  • thanks for telling me sumthing that i and everyone else already knows

  • @stussyboys You speak like a young kid. And not everyone knows about computers.

  • Building your own one for the win

  • what the heck is mac ???

  • @sasktank Most probably an Apple Macintosh i would say.

  • @sasktank i think the sandwich from Mcdonalds

  • @sasktank if you use a pc you really don't want to know

  • @sasktank Big Macs

  • @sasktank apple computer

  • @sasktank macs as they are called have a message in the name it self flip the word "Macs" it spells "scaM", "scaM" is what a mac is

  • @sasktank BIG MAC

  • Comment removed

  • @sasktank In the rubish bin

  • The tower on the left is the evolved form of the one on the right.

  • Building your own is good for obvious reasons. Having everything you want in your OWN pc...duh. But, it's not necessarily going to be cheaper. For someone to build there own pc, and to buy top of the line hardware for it will be obviously expensive. But, if you were to buy an off-the-shelf pc with all the same hardware, it's probably going to be cheaper.

  • @JoDaddyy No it won't be. And talking about same hardware. Please show me one off-the-shelf-pc that has 3 gtx480s.

  • stop sniffling

  • My dad has old crappy shelf pc!

    AMD Sempron 2700+

    Nvidia GeForce 5200

    2GB DDR-800 *no ddr2 or ddr3 the oldest ram*

    40GB IDE HDD

Can you find a worser pc then this?

  • @234jari234 Theres nothing wrong with it, just because it doesn't run games doesn't mean its shit, upgrade the HD and use it as a NAS or install a wireless card and use it with your TV, geez..

  • @234jari234 the older it gets the crappier it gets. That's the law.

  • @234jari234 dell xps lol

  • @234jari234 Yes, my laptop

    Intel Celeron M 430 1.73GHz

    Intel GMA 950

    2GB DDR2-500

    75GB SATA HDD

  • Christ he goes on abit...

  • If you can build a computer than thats the best way to go.

  • i love you

  • He talks in circles.

  • I built my own PC 11 days ago, and I won't go back to a store bought PC to save my life. Plus i have the satisfaction of knowing that the PC I use I built with my bare hands, not some guy in a factory who has to build so many a day.

  • All i have to say is, anyone who thinks macs are better than PC's are either idiots or porn addicts. Guarantee that most of the mac users bought their computers because they don't want to catch a virus looking up porn.

  • @Reets214 I have a fully working VMWare installed OS X Leopard 10.5.5

and I run Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.

Leopard doesn't even come close. then again, I've been using windows PC's since I was 15!

the cheapest option for a computer with Apple is the Mac Mini, starting at £650.

my gaming PC cost me £300 and it would take a £1500-2000 mac product to keep up with it.

    Athlon2 x3 440 @ 3.6GHz

    2GB DDR3 1333Mhz

    GTX 460 1GB DDR5

    1TB 7200RPM HDD

  • @ivansegos OMG, THANK YOU. Perfect explination right there sir, perfect.

  • @Uberlight2 ikr, It's a bit intimidating to someone who's never built a computer before.. but It pays off if you take the risk (It's not as hard as it seems)

  • @Reets214 macs are better for work,

    windows are better for gaming

thats all there is to it

  • @fubbyquacker Wrong, macs are good if you wanna spend a shit ton of money more than you need to it

  • @omnomanon

    really?

can you cant domnload a mac operating system on a windows?

    No.

you can download a windows on a mac, so you will have 'em both and you wont have to pay much for the windows

go to school before you come around trolling on everything

  • @fubbyquacker I have absolutely no experience with macs. Im not arguing that a mac os is terrible. Im saying that a mac costs so much more money than they need to, pre built pcs are hardly any better. Im saying that a custom built computer is the way to go, and as far as I know you can not build a custom mac with any hardware you want

  • @omnomanon whatever who cares anymore

  • @fubbyquacker actually mac can be installed on a pc.

  • @fubbyquacker actually mac can be installed on a pc. Not that you'd want to ruin your great new pc you spent so much time and effort building with an underdeveloped OS.

  • @mitchnorton2 its against the law to use a mac on a pc

  • @fubbyquacker Why. If you buy a copy of Mac OS X you should be allowed to install it on a PC. It doesn't say anything in the license agreement that you aren't allowed to.

If I'm wrong then who cares anyway. Windows 7 owns up Mac!!

  • @mitchnorton2 No, sorry, i must have been confusing, I meant running parallels

which is like running mac on your pc and when you close parallels youve got your pc again, thats what i meant,

and its just a matter of opinion witch one "owns" each other

but i do use windows 7 and i like it

  • @Reets214 or someone who has to much money in there pocket who like good looking machines with non virus getting OS, lmao

  • @Reets214 I know, I laugh my ass off when people say Macs have better processing power.

    hahahaha.

  • @Reets214 i use linux to watch porn :D

  • @TheBigupz lol

  • @Reets214 i bought my backbook pro because PC generic laptops are shit compared to the build quality mac puts into its laptops. Desktop, PC all day.

  • @Reets214 No Mate, People buy macs as they want reliability, Fast Load up and ability to Run a Computer without the RISK of getting a virus from a download!

  • @pipbouy159 It is easier to hack into a Mac than a PC. The only reason PC's are considered less secure is because more people use them and therefore more virus's exist for them. In reality, a Mac is less secure than a PC.

  • @pipbouy159 Wrong, Pc's boot up just as fast OR faster with the same hardware , PC is ALOT more secure , mac's just don't notify you on top of that not alot of people use them so not alot of viruses exist, oh and Apple makes 95% profit on like everything they sell, Mac's just have a nice white finish case and for that look you'll end up spending 43274938$. Not a fan boy of any sort I just build my pc's and see that macs are inferior, I have an iPhone so no hate on apple from me o-o.

  • @Reets214 Still they get viruses. Snow Leopard is unsafer than Win7. You just wont get notfiicated that a virus is on your system.

  • I think it's a lot more efficient to build your own PC because it's usually cheaper if the parts are shipped to you individually, and there aren't any pre-installed programs that take up 25% of your space.

  • looks like a speaker LOl ( left PC )

  • Go with building your own PC if you can. The ends justify the means.

  • whats the case on the left?

  • @vicskyline9 It's called the "Vortex" case, I actually find the big fan on the front to be quite stylish, and it's really good in terms of air cooling efficiency.

  • @MechWarrior324 I agree, it looks pretty cool, i wonder if the airflow on the front fan is blocked by a HDD cage though...

  • @vicskyline9 I wouldn't think so, some PCs actually have the HDD slots cage in the back, but I'm not sure if that is the case here.

  • very lousy presenter for such an old and established topic.

  • A Fucking Transformer on the left.

  • lol Jsus!!! look at the case its hideous looks like a fucken Propeller

  • @rtdninja but you know its like fridge inside with that fan

  • Not sure if someone else has covered this already, but one thing he forgot to mention about 32 and 64-bit OS's is that if you're building your own system, 32-bit OS's will top out at 4GB's of RAM (Win 7 acutally uses 4GB in a 32-bit OS). 64-bit OS's will run on 4, 6, 8, 12, 16, 32, and more! Just don't waste a 64-bit OS on a system with 3GB's or less. Memory management is a little better, but overall, there won't be a huge difference in performance.

  • @TazarZero first off a 32bit system can only use about 3.5GB not 4GB. But even so there are a lot of advantages of having a 64bit OS even on a computer that has less than 4GB RAM, provided your style of use.

  • what case is that?

  • Building a computer isn't even that hard, I've built one even on a budget, and I'm still in high school. People buying factory built PCs are just being ripped off. And they're enough of a coward to be okay with it.

  • not trying to offend anyone but this is the first video ive seen of this guy is he autistic??

  • wow, no hes not, not that i know anyway, hes pretty smart tho, hes just not camera friendly, but i dont mind him he seems really knowledgeable

  • i am new to this whole PC component thing and i want to build my own gaming PC one day. Can someone please send me a website or link me up to multiple websites that go in depth with EVERYTHING. A website that talks ALOT about the components and talk about which are compatible with other parts would be great. Please pm when you have some websites. Please don't tell me to google everything out. That's the whole reason i came here to ask, lol. Thanks alot!

  • well there are some websites that you can go to that will tell you i dont know about like an all in onne website that will tell you everything, i spent about a year researching pc parts and learning about components and how they work, its not really that hard but you do have to read a lot if you want to really know alot about it, reading lots of reviews is part of it

  • @AssassinJubo newegg and tigerdirect are really good choices (dont forget the dot com), but probably by the time you read this you may have built your pc already.

  • @AssassinJubo for reviews you can go to tomsharware, hardwarecanucks or search here in youtube for video reviews, there are plenty of helpful explanations.

  • building a pc is the cheapest, way cheaper

  • and more performance

  • This is what im doing..i was thinking about a place like vigorgaming but i decided to build one after reading a how to build an affordable gaming pc on maximumpc. i already got my case and the fans for it..going to get the psu, mobo, gpu and other stuff in the next few weeks..its going to be fun.

  • plus i can pay by the part not drop $1000 at one time thats hurts lol cpl hundred a time dont hurt as bad lol

  • i prefer to make my own pc.... i´ve build my own pc last year... for every thing...

game is my point and speed too... so i prefer to make a smooth pc...:D

  • Custom built PCs are the best in my opinion. If you are an enthusiast and you know something about computers you can build your own machine, know better the way it functions and quickly determine and eliminate any problem. Factory built PCs do not include many things they should include, such as accessories and documentation. They don't even give you your own Windows CD and genuine key! You buy new, sealed products and get the whole components of their boxes, unlike in factory built ones.

  • wow "the time and effort to build your own pc"... wtf it takes like and hour - hour and a half tops if that... infact I probs built mine in 45 mins, that was my first ever build :)

  • @GamingZen the hardest part for me was getting win 7 running flawlessly, fucken hard, full of crashes

  • lol i know

  • clocked: opening boxes building it and turning it on 17 min 47.38 sec :)

  • @TombMan12

lol probably takes me that long bet then i go all OCD stryle on cable management and it ends up taking 4 times as long as it should

  • hey wait a sec, Cybertron? that case is the Aplus El Diablo Advance... you can even see the Aplus logo ^^,

  • sometimes its better to upgrade for people like me who dont have much money to spend.

  • haha, no. my PC would destroy them with the price I paid for each part.

    P6T Deluxe

    6GB ram ddr3

    Core-i7

    2x Nvidia 275 in sli

    (I know a bit overkill but w/e)

Buy one of those with alienware, your looking at 2500 and up.

  • plus, I enjoy building my PC and maintaining it

  • dude u dont know what ur talking about! ALIENWARE HAS OVERPRICED SHIT

  • umm no? if u can build ur own, or find a good custom computer website. You'll be spending less money and getting more powerful components...alienware is a big company so they'll obviously charge you more for the parts and labor...yea they have good computer but wayyyyy too over priced. When you're paying the $5,000 for their top end pc, ill be spending more close to $1,500-2,000 and get the same or better parts and quality..not to mention they are fun to build and something to be proud of :)

  • If you're an idiot and too incompetent to actually upgrade the pc.

  • @smilenowcrylater4 Alienware: Overpriced, horrible website design, and disgusting cases.

  • @NohbdyThere

Yea.. their horrible.. You'd probably get a Dual core, 3gb system on ebay for a $1000.. they're very overpriced.. and yeah, I agree the cases are horrid!

  • See, you're talking about Ebay, whereas I'm talking about the actual company.

  • @NohbdyThere

haha.. yeah. I hear that man.

  • better than upgrading? I don't see the logic in that, as you can buy all the parts in an Alienware and put them together yourself, for half the price! still getting the same PC, just not the "Alienware" logo :P

  • u cud by a shell..

  • Ah a man of logic you are. It's nice to know there are still people like you and me out there. pweh! $5700 AUD for a $2600... thats fuking bollocks Alienware you douche bags!

  • Why would DDR2 be more expensive than DDR3 a couple of years from now?

  • its will become rare

  • @Herreken

It'll be rare .. I had to pay $60 pure gig on my old system with only took ddr.. thank god its gone. :P
