  • Anybody else get a Minecraft vibe from this song?

  • I listening to this song every day! thx for the video!

  • oh my god dude fuck you...... i thought this was the movie but it had 2 movies -_-!

  • very nice

  • It's nice. It's not my favorite video of this song but it's nice. It kinda reminds me of those monome things, the kickass instrument with a bunch of square buttons, that trent uses to make his music.

  • i like the part where it sounds as if hes inhaling and exhaling near the middle, and the dots go with that effect. nice job

  • dots...?

  • i like. :-) nice work.

  • really cool...

  • Ghost is the best NIN album yet. SAW 1 and 2 by Aphex Twin also in this category. I am loving the new Trent album.

  • so cute.... and hypnotizin ~^__^~

  • you are hypnotizing me with your pretty little video..now i am ready to blurt out my innermost secrets.

  • nice use of colors and light.

Also, did you link the blur level to the size of the dots? Its add a really nice effect.

    Good work.

  • This is very nice.

  • delicious

  • BRAVO WITH AN ALL CAPITAL SENTENCE

  • this makes me happy.

  • Great job man, its good.

  • one of the better ones ive seen... at least it goes along with the music ...

  • Terrific video. The most refreshing I've seen so far.

  • I really like this.. sweet, original, soft and I love the colors.. well done :)

  • This is outstanding. I'd be surprised if Trent DIDN'T pick this one.

Did you do this with reprogrammed MIDI + software with the After Effects, or just painstakingly go through the song?!

  • I started out trying to make this in Motion, because it allows behaviors based on audio and midi device control, but the program couldn't handle 5 objects for the 3 minute song - even on a new Mac Pro.

So I ended up using After Effects and scripting. A plug in that analyzes the audio spectrum helped make the keyframes more accurate, but it was still a manual process to get exactly the control that I wanted.

    Thanks :)

  • I really like this one.

  • fantastic work.

  • omg, if they had sequencers that would do lights like this...

  • Very nicely done Andrew! I like this a lot.

  • Really cool idea this must have taken forever to edit. Awesome

  • I just really love the simplicity

  • Yeah, maybe if I was tripping...

  • I dig it! not so much the colors tho, I imagine only a couple colors to this song, and def not solid ones. But the synch is wonderful, i ejoyed!

  • seriously? you're going to nit pick the colors? at least it's original. bad ass man. all of the other shit on here looks like a a really shitty music video. this is art

  • Cuban you are nitpicking another user's comments. I am simply expressing my opinion on the video. When i am listening to music i get specific colors in my head...rarely do i see a whole spectrum. I just think the video could be stronger had it focused on specific hues and tones to define the mood. its a great video but it looks like something you'd see on a computer screen rather than something "ghostly" No nitpicking, just trying to offer another view.

  • When I heard this song, I imagined driving at night and seeing blurred colored lights in the distance. The colors chosen are similar to how they look through the window out-of-focus.

I avoided using a spectrum - I chose colors that I thought represented the sounds while selecting a color scheme that was complimentary.

  • sick stuff!

  • cool what program?

  • In perfect synch to a beautiful instrumental, there's a playfulness in your videos drawing me in again. Whether black and white or subdued colors, this simplicity is sweet. Thank you for sharing your talents with us.

    10*

  • very nice,

take a look at mine, i used final cut pro, but i matched the sounds frame by frame, took for ever

  • It would be really cool with something quite light in the background instead, but quite good otherwise!

  • this is the best abstract art video that this festival has inspired. nice work!

  • I'm curious as to how you did this, like what program. Very cool though.

  • It's After Effects with some plug-ins :)

  • Reminds me of the end of Close Encounters. Good stuff :)

  • Very original and thinking outside the box.

    Well done Andrew.

  • very cool

  • the clear winner.

  • Yay! :) I think the dots match well with the dotty sounds, haha.

    You're my favorite!
