I actually got a Shinny Carmander from trade from some dude in Ohio. My eevee (lv.1) for his shinny caramander. I bet he`s kicking himself for that decision :3

I got the shiny gyarados from a shiny magikarp I encountered AND from HeartGold. D: I kept the gyardos in Sapphire, where I found it. It's pink in that game.

yes, if it is a shiny pichu it will evolve to shiny pikachu...same with all shinys :D

I hate to break it to you, pal, but unless someone is willing to trade you one (if they have one) whether it be Wi-Fi or not, you're just going to have to be lucky enough to get it as a starter pokemon in either FireRed or LeafGreen.

Part 1: You can't catch it in the wild (without cheating) if that's what you mean. If you have Pokemon FireRed or LeafGreen, then you have to erase your old file if you have one, start a new game and talk to Prof. Oak like normal. When he offers one of his pokemon, go to the pokeball on the right, stand in front of it and SAVE YOUR GAME. Then choose Charmander. If it's not shiny, which it probably won't be, reset the game and try again until it is.

Hatching I am assuming still, if not, then it would be epic to get it as a starter XD.

I have seen a decent amount of shinies over my times.

Shiny Zigzagoon (Sapphire), Haunter (Fire Red), Diglet (Leaf green).. but it might not have been a shiny, I wasn't looking and killed it, and when I saw it die, I swore it was a shiny diglet XD.
