  • Just heard that Ramin, who played Phantom in LND, was her dad in this. Mindblown o_o

  • I love this movie i cant wait if i ever see it on broadway i will maybe cry

  • technically the phantom is Christine's father... Ramin plays Christine's father here and was the original phantom in love never dies....bizarre!

  • Actually the 2004 movie. Not 2005

  • my name is christine. whenever i see my friends in the hall at school they sing this loudly at me.

  • nice song!! and very nice MOVIE!! :)

  • I keep finding my self singing this song often... haven't seen this movie enough times.

  • Meg has such a pretty voice :)

  • does anyone think that when cristine tells meg about her childhood and meg asks if she really believes. that it looks like meg knows something that cristine doesn't?

  • RAMIN KARIMLOO IN THE PICTURE!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHH I LOVE HIM

  • christine has a great vioce and so does her blonde friend, cant remember her name

  • @naticat2001101 lol its in the description: Meg Giry

yah they both haev amazing songs!!

  • @naticat2001101 Meghan "Meg" Giry. Also known as "Little Giry"

  • Huh... Is it coincidental that Jennifer (as wonderful of a singer as she is) is a porn star, and then in LND Meg is basically a porn star?

  • @loathing14 ohhh come on meg is not a porn star in lnd!! says less clothes on better-yes...says she's done "things" to help the phantom-yes...a bit naive/jealous/crazy-yes..but not a porn star! that's like saying the phantom staged porn-NOOOO :P

  • @Phan801 xD My friend always said that Mme. Giry was basically Meg's pimp.

  • @loathing14 hahahaha nice now THAT i can picture!! and pretty accurate i might add!! i love your friend :p

  • @Phan801 Yeah, me too. :p We had a whole discutions about how LND kinda destroyed the Girys.

  • @loathing14 kinda? one became a murderer and the other an opportunistic bitch (ooooooor a porn star and her pimp)..i am guessing they weren't webber's favourite characters! i wish i had friends who even knew what lnd was though!

  • @Phan801 I personally think they were both bitchy and jealous. My friend exposed me to musicals and stuffs. Mainly POTO and LND. xD

  • @loathing14 haha i'm trying to do the same to my friends;)

BTW i think that your channel resembles heaven:P

  • @Phan801 Thank you!:D I have an unhealthy obsession over musicals, and Wicked tends to be the major one right now. :P Pink goes good with green!

  • @loathing14 there's no such thing as an unhealthy obsession when it comes to musicals!! i haven't watched wicked yet but i certainly will!! isn't the song "defying gravity" from that musical?

  • @Phan801 Yep! THat's one of the most famous songs along with Popular and For Good. :3

  • did any one else notice how when she asks christne if she believes ands christines like who else is it then meg looks away sith a guilty look one of those i know who it is look

  • The actor for Meg is a pornstar. But that doesn't mean we can enjoy her sweet little voice :D

  • @witch1fan Haha I found that out yesterday!!! xD

  • @witch1fan consider what Meg becomes in Love Never Dies... that seems legit.

  • @Sannya1803 Haha, funny! True!

  • no im not braging. im just saying its a good song 2 learn

  • meg has a lovly voice yhis song frighted me abit and im 16

  • Meg's (Jennifer's) voice is beautiful.

  • Angel Of Music is very powerful haunting song in the Phantom of The Opera

  • Ok so this song is really hard to sing. I sung it when i tried out for a play at the Delaware Childrens Theatre. It took sooooo long to hit all of the notes. I am only 11 years old. But i was able to hit every pitch and note perfectly. They said i sounded amazing. Wish me luck!

  • @edwarccullenh Wait are you bragging? o_o

  • um the phantom of the opera was made on 2004 not 2005 but like though

  • @McMinorgurl. Me neither!!

  • Cant get this song out of my head!!!!!!!!!!

  • I wonder Christine Daae and Meg Gjry are sisters

  • @ThePinkladies18 nope

    sorry

  • @ThePinkladies18 Christine's mother died when she was a baby. After Christine's father dies, she's sent to Paris to live in the ballet dormitory of the Oprahouse, where she is raised by Megs mother. They're not related, but I'm sure they do think of each other as sisters.

  • This movie is good :) and this music too

  • Gerard Butler IS the Angel of Music. No question about it.

  • Sarah brightman, I love you, but Emmy Rossum is the superior Christine...

  • @keniakittykat have you actually ever seen the musical live? heard any other christines? gina beck? sierra boggess? rachel barrelle? rebecca caine? celia graham? come on they are extremely talented actors to say the least you can't just underestimate them like that!!

  • @Phan801 I wasn't talking about the live stage shows but about the movies.

I have never seen this live because I don't live in America, nor the UK where this musical played in English.

And because of those reasons I don't know any of those stage performers, a shame I know but what can I do.

If it ever played in London I could go, but Musical tickets are expensive enough, I'm not paying 500€ for the train and show =s So chances of me seeing this live are pretty slim...

  • @keniakittykat i know what you are talking about...:) it's a shame there is only one movie(except if you count the 25th anniversary but since it's still pretty new unless you live in uk or us it's pretty hard to find the dvd) and isn't it playing in london now? i think it still is until march when they'll go on tour(that might be your chance to see it live :p) well if you want to you could look for the 25th anniversary concert on dvd it's like watching live but cheaper :p

  • @keniakittykat completely agreed.

  • When i sing this i sound like christine apparently…dont know if its true or not

  • @jdpuppyful it's not.

  • Angel of Music guide and guardian♥

I may only be 12 years old but that doesn't mean that I can't still love songs like this. Actually i love the whole musical/book/and movie. same for Les Miserables!

  • @ichBinEntfuehrtWorde

Agreed. She doesn't really do this song justice.

  • @lexnuttyninj Ummmmmm emmy rossum is the best christine and always will be. Get the hell over it

  • @MyRayrayhercules Get the hell over what? You have your opinion I have mine.

  • Holy crap, Ramin? Why didn't they get him to play the phantom????

  • I have this on my iPod...never seen the movie, but love the song. Kinda like an exposure to the music w/o the distraction of the images. Wow.

  • Beautiful - makes me shudder!!

  • nice i luv this song

  • Her voice gives me chills but I get this warm feeling to.

  • I always get the chills when I listen to this.

  • @penel25

    Me too!!!!

  • Just stop making JB jokes, just stop. It's too old...

  • Is this Ramin Karimloo on the picture at 0:12???? Looks so much like him.

  • @andromache007 It is, actually. He is indeed credited as "Christine's Father"... personally, I think it's a low blow to have a freaking cameo from one of the greatest "Phantom" actors of all time in the movie he should be starring in... no offense to Gerry, but it's my opinion :(

  • @ihartrodatkins I have to agree there. When I saw the 25th concert I thought of all the reasons that it was better than this film and the stars were top of the list

  • @andromache007 Yes it is :)

  • did anyone see the live broadcast for the 25th anniversary? it was incredible

  • I love this song!!! While most people's favorite movies are the hangover, mine however is Phantom of the Opera.

  • @Kacie947 Do you want a medal or something?

  • if u guys hate JUSTIN BIEBER soo much then STOP making him famous my keep talking 'bout him !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Am I weird for being a high school student absolutely not in love with rap or hiphop, and more in love with this?

  • I really don't understand why my classmates prefer pop.

  • The movie was made in 2004. Just saying

  • justin bieber sucks but this vid. rocks like superman!

  • jennifer is so underated ...

  • Pretty fancy dress she's wearing to go hang out in a gungeon.

  • 3:05 equals best part! I love those high notes and when meg comes in with the harmonic!

  • 89 people didn't keep their hands at the level of their eyes

  • 89 people cant hear this beautiful thing

  • I just want Christine to stfu in this, honestly (:--- I mean talking xD not singing!

  • I just want Christine to stfu in this, honestly (:

  • Thumbs up if you watched this PURELY and ONLY for the purpose of seeing Monsuier Ramin Karimloo's two-second parts as Gustave Daae.

  • @TheGreenified I wonder why they didn't have him play the phantom......

  • I still find it hard to believe that the girl playing Christine was about 16 when they started filming this movie. She has a wonderful voice.

  • Her dress is really really really pretty!

  • @xZydrate ...and their development. That is the difference between a musical and an opera.

  • @xZydrate ...The fundamental difference is how the music functions. In a musical, the lyrics are at the forefront and they are almost entirely responsible for moving the dramatic action forward. Essentially, in a musical, the music supports the words. In an opera, music is the most important aspect. As Mozart said: 'poetry is the obedient daughter of music'. Therefore, it is the music which pushes the action forward, though lyrics still contribute. Wagner famously did this with leitmotifs...

  • @xZydrate First, Phantom the stage show and Phantom the movie are both not operas. The music may have Italianate, operatic inflections, but both are not operas. Second, the significant difference between a musical and an opera is not dialogue. For example: Die Zauberflote, Mozart's final opera combines German dialogue and music. This form of opera is known as the Singspiel...

  • Can't I go to ONE video without people bitching about Justin Bieber?

  • @JollySock Nope.avi

  • @JollySock i guess not...

  • Strong!

  • I love this movie! The Phantom is Fantabulicios!

  • Comment removed

  • The beauty and simplicity of this song appeals to me most. It is actually based on singing talent rather than popularity or how good your sound board is. This is classic and true art.

  • THIS is music! and I don't know why Justin BIeber's videos has more visits than this!

  • @onlybedifferent Maybe just because some people don't like this style of music. Because you think this is only good music it doesn't matter it is true !!!!! I am 21 and I don't listen to Bieber but I don't like opinion like this .... LET EVERYBODY LISTEN TO WHAT THEY WANT TO LISTEN :) and there will be peace :DD

  • @sfgdhdhd Exactly!!!

  • @onlybedifferent amen!

  • no one likes this kind of music anymore .. i love it always have no doubt about it

  • don't worry. Beliebers are being slowly killed by Hitler and his crew. We should have a peaceful decade ahead of us :)

  • I'm learning the part of Christine ^_^ Luv this song <3

  • One of my favorite songs in POTO... most girls my age listen to crap like Justin Bieber, i listen to this and Les Mis and The Secret Garden

  • Stupid Justin Bieber!

  • This sends a shiver up my spine every time.

  • im learning to play this so on my flute!

  • @MiMiproduction11 I'm learning how to play this on my Ocarina ^_^

  • @Xazyv your amazing to be able to learn this on the ocarina!

  • If you love this you should see Love Never Dies.

Will Christine and Raoul finally be happy together?

What;s up with Meg? And is Gustave really Raouls child, or hase Christine since their marriage, a terrible secret?

Then You should go see Love Never Dies, or listen to the music!

Andrew Lloyd Webber did a great job again!

  • @Lisaaa528 actually, i've heard that Love Never Dies (while still having great music) is almost like a parody in the sense that everyone is out of character, and that Gustave is the only good part, because suddenly Christine has magically grown a backbone, Raoul's a useless drunk and Meg is selfish and working as a prostitute when in the original POTO she was in many ways a far more interesting character than Christine. just one persons opinion though.

  • @thebaloobearbeat It's ten years later, taking real happenings into action. A Prince Charming cant really be the same for 10 years. He developed bad habits due to them having the money that allowed him to try. Christine has grown alot, got a son and has to struggle with with her husbands bad habits. Meg finally got into the spotlight and is seemed to be truly happy about the attention, wouldnt you be upset in her position after 10 years of hard work? You need to think 10 years ahead, not a week.

  • Beautiful Music Like This...So Enchanting. If Only Life Was Like This, It Would Be Much More Interesting. Such Songs And Glorious Words. If Only I Could Sing Like That... :) Let's Keep On Wishing ^O^

  • ive sung this song countless times :D Where Is My Angel :(

  • @counterberry17 me too

  • 88 people don't know art and beauty.

  • I wonder how anyone can dislike this!!! It's literally magical!

  • I WISH JACKIE EVANCHO WOULD SING THIS!!!!!!

  • @counterberry17 she did sing one from this movie, think of me, check her channel

  • I've sung this song!!

  • I wonder if the woman who plays Madame Giry and the girl who plays Meg Giry are actually related. They look freakishly alike!

  • Phantom of the Opera is my all time favorite musical. I love the movie, but nothing will beat the original Broadway cast :)

  • Everytime I try to sing this, my voice cracks. lol.

  • meg is my absolute favorite character in phantom! i wish she had a bigger role!

  • @MegaSunnybob Yes! i agree!

  • I absolutely love at the end when they harmonize together! It's absolutely beautiful!!!

  • Meg has such a babyface! It's so adorable!

  • Jennifer Ellison looks like a mix of brittney spears and a barbie doll! she is so pretty!

  • I'm Twelve And Yet I Ask Where My Angel Of Music Is I Sing This Song Repeatedly To Myself And I Think I Am So Lucky For Ever Watching This Movie. Lol My Little Sister Is Tired Of Me Singing Along With The Movie Whenever We Watch It :P But I Can Sing Christine And Meg xD So Lucky.... Thumbs Up If You Like Phantom Movie!!!

  • I love her voice! I wish I could get into a school to help me advance my voice! I could so do something like this! Maybe not as high... But I love it!

  • I felt a shiver down my spine when Emmy sang. The movie was so touching I cried.who agrees with me that this beautiful piece of art is underrated by critics who have no experience at all?

  • Is it just me or does Christine have a bit a of an accent to her voice? Like when she says " When you mother brought me here to live" ?? Or am i going mad? But i love itt!! <3

  • @penel25 ur the only one of them who has sense.

  • and i bet your still a virgin

  • @kimberpistol and i bet you listen to Justin Bieber

  • @penel25 Same :). I'm 14 and I love this music along with other songs we do in my choir

  • @penel25 true. This call MUSIC!!!

  • @penel25 i know right I'm 12 and no one understands!

  • @gizeee909 I'm 12 aswell! and i love musicals :D

  • @penel25 amen sista

  • @penel25 how old r u??

  • Oh my gosh. When she sings it's like constant chills down my spine. Every time.

  • im 12 and i love this no matter what people say

  • Wait, if Phantom is the voice/angel of music Christina is singing about, that means he has been in love with her since she was 3 o__o

Or maybe he was training her to sing when she was little just to be nice, but then he fell in love with her because she grew beautiful. Either way, that's creepy, Eh, whatever. I love this play XD

  • @dottiedots221 More like a pedifile type thing.

  • @TheMr1234na Exactly XD

  • I am 12 yrs old & I love this.

If you read the book, the author says this actually happened.

So if you think about it, a story THIS OLD that is still very famous,

    throughout the world,

    well... thats pretty amazing

  • This movie makes Christine look like a schizophrenic.. sometimes she thinks the phantom is her father, other times she thinks he's an angel sent by her father, and yet other times she seems to know that he's a deformed guy in a mask. Whats up with that?

  • beautiful song..i am 10 years old and sing this. Please have a listen if you can

    Thank-you.

    Katie

  • i love how she put that extremely long paragraph two seconds before the end of the video. u cant even read the first line aha.

  • this is the most epic movie ever! i want to see this movie again so badly i only saw it once its so good! i wish i could go to broadway and see it there :3 that would make my day.

  • I cant believe Emmy is just 16 in this movie :O

  • beautiful...

  • I dont get it.....if you do not like the video what posses you to watch it and then further more click the dislike button? Do you feel cultured wathing things u dont like??? idk

  • I dont understnad if u dont like it hwy the heck r u wathcing it and further more why in the world do u feel u have to make a idiot of urself and show everyone else u watch stuff u dont like? thats right that goes out to all 87 of u wierdos

  • @beecb: Well, actually, your 11-year-old self was quite right. That's kind of the POINT of Phantom, is it's supposed to be quite creepy. Don't get me wrong; I adore this movie. But having met and gotten to know someone very, very much like the Phantom, I can tell you that it IS creepy. After all, the main plot arc is a psychopath trying every way he can think of to seduce and manipulate a young girl into falling for him. Which is, of course, why it's interesting. *waves and disappears*

  • I sound just like meg when i sing her part lol

  • my schools doing this as a school play, and i really want to be meg. :) shes so pretty & has sucha beautiful voice !

  • who eles think when they walk down the hallway its like christine's wedding and meg is the flower girl

  • Meg is wayyyy too busty to be a real ballerina. Jus' sayin.

And don't get me started on Emmy's voice. She sure is beautiful but why couldn't they have just dubbed her over?

  • @MeiMei228 Indeed, the part was written for a Full Lyric Soprano (more mature sound, sacrifice range for volume) but Emmy is a Light Lyric Soprano (sound like little girls) The filmmakers here were dead set on someone who looked/sounded 16 rather than paying attention to how the music was supposed to be heard. They originally wanted Charlotte Church to do it, but she wouldn't lose weight for the part because dieting affects singing in bad ways.

  • Why did they have to interrupt this gorgeous duet with that dialogue, it nearly ruined it.

  • @1AdrianR to introduce the angel of music !!!!

  • @kingpoop69 That's what the lyrics do. The spoken dialogue is absolutely unnecessary.
