@JoaquinMenesesVEVO - all of them but there a few that stand out - Most would think the Gauley or the New River would be top choice for kayaking but there are so many more. I don't kayak much so I like a more mellow river that I can canoe and carry gear for 2 or 3 nights. I go down the Shavers Fork - South Branch of the Potomac - Glady Fork and Gandy Creek. For backwoods kayaking I would recommend upper Shavers Fork, Dry Fork, Laural Fork, Lower Glady Fork, Otter Creek and Black Fork.

@JoaquinMenesesVEVO Also if you are looking to run some insane creeks than Check out Upper Otter Creek or Moore Run into lower Otter Creek - They would need to be close to flood stage to run and early spring can be very difficult to get to the drop zone. The Blackwater and some of the forks are nice as well. It seems like there has been alot of fatalities on the Black this past year?? I hope you get to enjoy the rivers here in WV.

If I had a monkey, I would teach it how to use a paddle. The next time I went kayaking I would be able to relax and enjoy the scenery while my monkey navigated the river. Also, the last time I went kayaking I fell asleep and got sunburnt and the current took me way up the river . Having a paddling monkey would prevent this ever happening again so really it is a water-safety issue and should be encouraged.

please don't do what I did and buy because of price. Do a lot of research ( and there's a big difference between "non-sit-on" and "whitewater"),take as many test rides as you can beg or borrow,THEN start looking around at what you want to buy.

Test rides are the key-find some local kayakers,and see what it will take to go along with them for a few rides.

You should be able to get a good all rounder (something like a Dagger RPM, Perception Sonic/Supersonic or Pyrahna inaZone) suitable for everything up to mild whitewater for around £300 new, but second hand, a great boat can be found from £80, but more likely from about £150. Its definately worth going around and trying as many boats as you can till you find one you like. Definitely worth joining a local canoe club a they usually have a large range of different boats to paddle in.

If you know what you want, ebay is fine. I bought my most recent off ebay and its great! Make sure you view the boat before you hand over any money so you can see the quality of the boat (looking for deep scratches, areas of discolouration on the plastic, check the built in fittings such as the seat and buoyancy).

i know that Dagger were still seling the RPM about 2 years ago, and then they had just changed the plastic they use from the multicoloured plastic to plain orange or red, so i imagine they wouldn't have bothered redesigning the colour and interior if they were going to stop the production of the boat.
