@Cadetdude You can't patch a UMD, but you can rip a patch-able file from a UMD, which is what I did. I can actually read enough Japanese to play it fine anyway, I patch it for the benefit of my subscribers.

@ReginaldBathwater Twin Terrors is harder because it's unfair. The Rajang will sometimes clip throgh each other, and at other times push each other around. It means that evading their insanely damage attacks can come down to luck, and that makes for a BS experience, IMO.

Would you say this is harder than Unite's G-rank los/ian in the arena, because that shit is a little ridiculous? And if so what makes it harder? Is it just the buffs the monsters get? I haven't played p3rd yet, but i'm getting the HD version this week.

@BlackHoleOfFail I would definitely say this is harder. They do far more damage relative to your armour, and their patterns are far more random. For the Unite version, you can just stay under Los's shadow and you'll always be safe from him, but not so here. You always have to watch both or risk a OHKO attack, and they've got more HP, too.

@BafflinBook Ordinarily I'd say yes, but the best raw SnS is the Dobo one. It's got the same white, but only 10 more raw which isn't worth 30 Thunder because there are times I'm hitting the wings. If the Jin weapons weren't so OP'd you'd be totally right though.

@Sohrer I don't think they can. They can poison other creatures (I've seen them poison altaroths) but the boss monster poison threshold is probably too high for them to poison each other.

I always use GS on this quest.

But imo this quest is not 3rd's hardest challenge. Great job anyways, because I couldn't imagine a fight against these bastards without my helpful combat kitties :D

@mazereon I've completed this with a GS twice without flashes, traps, etc. but i always get carted at least once. Mobility is a big issue with the GS on this quest, and blocking can help a little but not by much. Being cornered with the GS unsheathed is not exactly fun.

I also did this with a HH once just last thursday, but it took me over 30 mins.

Maybe a little more practice and i might come up with a GS vid.

You unlock the ability to upload videos longer than 15 minutes by abiding by some rules and guidelines IIRC (how you haven't done this yet Maze, is a god damn mystery to me O_o) at which point when uploading a video you see the "Congratulations! Your account is now enabled for uploads longer than 15 minutes. Click the Upload button below to select a video." prompt above the upload button. Good job being clueless tw1g.

Job well done, is the SnS more viable in 3rd? Or is that you just being you and making it look viable. If so, I would love to use the sns more, I love how it works and the feel, just wish I didn't feel like I was hitting the creature with paper.

@Fac3rollin SnS gets a 6% raw boost in P3rd compared to Unite, so it is a little better. But it gets a 30% elemental reduction :(

@mazereon So it's essentially the same as before? Raw damage will be more of a damage boost compared to elemental so that 6% sounds handy but the 30% reduction make it about even, damage wise, leaning towards more of a nerf because the sns can take advantage of what little elemental damage monsters take. I'm not too good with the 3rd damage formula, but if it's like tri, that 30% sounds a tad bit more hurtful then a 6% raw boost. Well at least it's still good at giving status' xD.

@Beanerriomy Dual Monster quests aren't the ones like this where you fight stuff at the same time, to unlock Ala you just need to clear all the quests with two monsters one after the other. For that, something like the Dobo Hammer with a Sharp +1 set will work fine.

That song's pretty nice <3 Good job on that quest too, i went on it with a friend a short while back and we both got blitzed by the two of them, totally shocked by the damage buffs. Probably shouldn't use hammers on this quest... :P Very good job though :3
