My thats was quite the noise, are they very vocal animals? And do they like to travel alone or in small groups? Oh and what and how much does one Tapir eat a day?
They are usually pretty quiet. That is the loudest noise I've heard any of them make. Tapirs tend to travel alone or in a very small family unit. There are no large herds of tapir roaming around. In the wild, they spend a lot of time foraging for different plants. These tapir eat hay, carrots, apples, bananas, hay and a special grain.
Thank you reddit.

Yes that was her, which is interesting because the make very minimal noise (usually small, quiet, frog-like sounds).

Was that sound her? Are they noise bound animals?
