All of them have good voices,they just need a bit of singing lessons,how to control their voices,low and high pitches,high and low note-hitting..stuff like that.Most of professional singer have gone through that too. They dont need to sing only African songs,thats bullshit!.

i think African idols should sing more of African songs, you will truely see their talent. Because they hear their parent sing african song as a child, so it part of them. I strongly suggest they should sing African songs.

they have been colonized, they dont speak african language in the office or at school. if they want to reach out international level, u do it with international language. Its still wont stop them from singing in african when they feel like it

@Daela2007 yes colonialism did some damage to a certain extent but it has nothing to do with them losing their mothers tongue. most African children are bilingual, when they are not at school or in the office, they are surrounded by their culture. i think it is the individual responsibility to learn their language. i could understand if they were raise outside of African then again it shouldn't be an excuse.
