@wustl11 welcome to the world of cricket. i dont hate baseball and i actually dont mind waching when its on tv but cricket is just better. ur right it is much more complex than baseball. in baseball u just swing like crazy every ball but cricket is a very different ball game. batsman have to survive. they have to choose the right balls to hit and fend the good ones. u try to hit an awesome delivery u risk losing ur wicket. a talented batsman tho can hit even the good balls out the park.

@dev1on a talented bowler can hit the stumps but an equally talented batsman can keep it out. its not just about hitting the stumps though. constantly bowling at the stumps makes a bowler predictable. a good bowler will use variations like outside offstump, short length, medium length, yorkers etc. to keep batsmen guessing. lot of mind games are played between batsmen and bowlers. dont knw why im telling u this it wont change a thing. ur a baseball loving american and u'll stay tht way.
