  • I'm glad to live in germany. This is nothing special for us - we do it every sunday.

  • Praise the Lord!! Im christian (not of the cathlic church) but i love what they are doing here they sound like angels. Hallelujah

  • This is awesome! I'm not Catholic, but I went with my daughter, granddaughter, son-in-law and his mother to her Catholic Mass on Christmas Day. I loved it. I go with them for Easter Mass as well. God bless us all! OneKewpie.

  • catholics cotholics ... Protestants please...

  • was it in spanish at first

  • @lewisgunner1 Latin

  • really wow it sounds spanish

  • Very nice, beautiful music. If you like sacred music, you might like to check out my own piano composition "Deo Omnis Gloria" which is inspired by the Holy Mass (click on my name and go to Part 5 of the video). All comments welcomed! Thank you.

  • Oh.. so very lovely, this is what I'm majoring in. =)

  • when i grow up i wanna do this. looks fun and, its music!

  • Can anyone recommend an album I can buy that has music this like this?

  • They are "Gregorian Chants". Any Monasteries in France or in any European Monasteries practise and pray in this version of Chanting!

    The French are the Best!

  • All of the pieces in this video are utterly sublime, but does anyone know what piece is at the beginning? It sounds like a Gloria, as the sung part sounds like 'gratias agimus tibi propter magnam gloriam tuam,' but I'm not sure. Could anyone answer that for me? Thanks!

  • It's the Gloria from Monteverdi's Mass in F.

  • This is truly the sacred musical heritage of Holy Mother Church, it is the legacy of our forefathers in Christ. What is played today during the holy mass in some parishes is shamefully modern pop music, often the same songs heard in non-Catholic churches. Blessed be those who maintain our sacred musical heritage, blessed be those who raise their voices in sacred traditional Latin praise!

    Pax Vobiscum!

    Ora pro nobis.

  • This is truly the authentic voice of the Church! Not this modern junk that is happening. I pray persistently that it is just a phase and will eventually pass. Our Sacred and Holy Church has no permanent place for modernism. I am proud to be a traditionalist.

  • Truly Anointing!

HOw can I attend these types of colloquims and where are they conducted?

  • When I listen to music like this I realize how short I fall compared to an infinite and Holy God.

  • I love it.

  • Absolutely beautiful. This is the Church and music that I converted to. The guitars and singing have their place at times but this is what brings people to Christ. Unfortunately there is a modernist element in the Church that wants no part of it.

  • Amen to that! The traditional and sacred music such as this is true reverence for our Lord and the Blessed Sacrament. Not the 'bands' that are trying to creep into our Church these days. We don't need entertainment when we have the Eucharist. Music should only revere what is taking place, not distract from it. Christian rock is fine - outside of the liturgy.

  • Why we dont sing that in church. Things would be very diferent... I pray god that can happen.

  • Me too. farolnoturno

  • what is the name of the song beginning at 2:12?

  • Maybe a piece by Anton Bruckner, I think...?

  • Good ear, Alfonso--it's his "Ave Maria." (I attended the Colloquium this year and thoroughly enjoyed singing it!)

  • This is wonderful!

  • Awesome! Please bring it back into our culture!

  • That was a pleasure! I wish that we could hear more of it during Mass. I like the modern sacred music too, but this music instantly connects and absorbs your soul with the Almighty, and the things of Heaven. It explains things about God that words can't. Thanks for this.

  • Gulp, this is the old style Catholicism that moved hearts and minds for Christ. Guitars and drum sets in modern parishes just doesn't cut it.

  • Fantastic!!!! Beautiful, wish I could sing like that.

  • Wow!! <3

    It's so heavenly.

  • WOW!! This is the answer to my prayers! I wish I had heard about this so that I could have come. I hope, with God's will, to make it next year. PRAISE GOD,PRAISE GOD.

  • We WANT this music, it is the hope of the Church. Gregorian Chant will restore reverence to the Liturgy.

What a wonderful video, I'm posting this on my blog.

    Deo gratias!

  • Have you attended the Latin Mass recently? Increasingly it is being offered in dioceses under the auspices of the bishop. In NJ we have an excellent parish run by the Fraternity of St. Peter fathers. Beautiful Mass; and confession at reasonable and plentiful hours.

  • Beautiful, nice work!
