you dont know anything of what you say. first off, the fda doesnt approve of giving our food steroids or growth hormones to cows for human consumptsion. i have gone to see many slaughter houses and they treat their animals more humanely than i ever imagined. the only hormone i know of allowed by the fda for cows is rbst wich makes milk and is proven safe to eat .second when you clone an animal none of the growth hormones, steroids and "other shit" are introduced to the off spring

OK U put a bull in with the females wait several months to get a new animals, what advantage is there with cloning for the producer? I suspect cloning is about a startup industry hoping to convice enough ranchers to use cloning for the profit of the start up industry. There may or may not be a uniform weight gain consistency with cloned animals, but the ranchers and feeder I know never complain about that issue at all.

Actually it is the placentas that are somehow affected right now. We are highly unlikely to actually eat cloned meat but the progeny of steers that may be cloned in order to have more consistent meat from their progeny. The issue I believe is to continue to put pressure on legislators to ensure that there are sufficient libraries of diverse species so we aren't making our food supply too vulnerable to infections (and potentially terrorism).
