@minnap2002 alot of practice, and knowledge on colour, shade, texture, line, balance etc etc. you dont have to pick up a book exactly to learn it, just study painting, drawing etc. but depends on what kind of learner you are.

Christ, Chris, did you really do that without a sketch? My paintings always end up wrong and it takes a long time to get them right. Also, about the textures, how did you achieve that with such ease? Do you use a custom brush or just the default round brush?

Hi, Ive watched and subscribed to you for a while now and love your art. Ive been doing digital painting for a little bit now but what I cant seem to get how to do is reconcile my starting sketch that has dark outlines with the highlighted edged they will later become. I a guess a simpler way to put is is how do you go about lightening outlines without retracing the whole layer? If you have any idea that would be awesome!
