I gotta say it again-Linda Perry=LEGEND!!! She really is the entire package-She has talent in bucket loads, and she is an amazing person too, with time for everyone!!! She's not up her own arse, her feet are planted firmly on the ground, and she is one of my hero's! God bless Linda Perry!!!
and for the record i don't intend my comments as any sort of slander; it just seems clear to me that occasionally an artist's success is dependent on self-indulgence.
i find it a pointless question to ask a woman if she finds that it's harder, or different somehow, to be female in whatever business she finds herself in. the most obvious reason is because as a woman she has never lived the experience as a man, so how could she possibly compare the two?
and although linda basically says there's potentially "no difference" - which is simply culturally inaccurate, truth is she does not have the sort of personality that easily relates to another's experience.
