  • bottom's up used to open with this song back in 1983. that band kicked major ass.

  • is just me but i ve always loved how this kinda sounded like Dio (rip)

  • seen these guys in 83 they opened for acdc in pittsburgh it was great

  • Bad ass riffs

  • Liked this one, but like "Give It All You Got" the best.

  • 1983

  • listen to those fuckin vocals holy shit that dude can hit it

  • @corpsewrestler777 That dude (Dave King) sings for Flogging Molly now....check them out!

  • Juba e Lula Hoo Forever !!!

  • JUBA E LULA HOOO!!!

  • I actually have this album on vinyl! lol

  • @transammike so do I. We are old

  • Funny how Dave King sings for Flogging Molly now and tries to pretend this era of his life never existed...lol.

  • In 2004 I bought this CD at an independent record store after seeing "Say What You Will" for the first time since childhood and managed to wear that CD out. Just got another copy which is on the way. Fastway were a great hard rock/metal supergroup. Motorhead plus Humble Pie plus a future Flogging Molly frontman. Also the bass player on the album was Mickey Feat (who would play with David Gilmour in 1984) as Pete Way quit before the album was recorded.

  • this song had a Mtv video, does anyone know how they can get it on here?

  • See them with REO back in the day Great Band

  • Jeff ??? Fast Eddie Clark... The Man ... say no more

  • @CurtMustaine dont forget Pete Way!

  • jerry shirley = the man

  • One of my favorite low-rent songs.

  • @wayupinya1 The low-rent ones are always the best. ;)

  • My old band covered this one. I miss those club nights replete with bikes, chicks, and bruisin' Rock N Roll.

  • COOLEST song back in the day!!!! Say What You Will...

  • i hear motorhead is doing a "covers" album. how badass would it be to hear lemmy sing this?

  • I heard this in the "late" seventies from a garage band.. Secret City, in Cerritos, CA.

  • I saw Fastway open for Saxon who opened for Iron Maiden at the old Mcnichols arena in Denver. In fact I still have a tour shirt and ticket stub.1983... OMG Im sooo old. LOL

  • @perrymoorej YEH!!! but it's been a hell of a RIDE !!!! they say if it's to loud your to

    old !!! I SAY CRANK IT THE FUCK UP !!!!!! LOL!! I turned 25 in 83 !!

  • @RRMF77 I like your attidute, Im the same, turned 20 in 83, still listen to 80s rock, it will never die

  • UFO, Motorhead, Mason Rufner, Los Lobos, Smithereens, X, Concrete Blonde, and The Plimsouls.

  • There's just no excuse for the actual video for this song not being available on YouTube.

  • oh forgot Y&T!!

  • UFO, FASTWAY,RIOT,SAXON, All still putting out kickass music love these bands!!

  • @Wildhorses39 I agree lad , great great music!

  • yea trick or treat was cool..tx for bringing that up..forgot all about that movie..grew up on mtv and the 80s metal..still luv it to this day..43 years old and still banging :D

  • Badd Ass !!

  • I subbed. I want your icon to visit my page

    NWO .lol.

    I Love Fastway

  • @TheMrparlor absolutely !

  • from the first time i heard this song, many years ago ,I LOVED IT

  • 17 people are no fun at all, i listen to all kinds of music. This is fucking great, i grew up as a young teen listening to this stuff. Good times.

  • say what you will and you will !!! says it all!

  • ha sounds like wasp

  • I'm glad this album got grooved but still wish Eddie, Philthy Phil, and Lord Lemmy were together! This was to good an album to not be made though. :)

  • I ran across a 4 lane highway to meet these guys at WDHA in Northern NJ. They were so nice and appeciative as they came out of the radio station that day after there interview with Eddie Trunk (VH1 The Metal Show).

  • Straight up good hard rock band!!! loved these guys I had all their albums...

  • Pete got totally screwed when this album was released. "Fast" Eddy Clark and Pete Way were the band's namesakes, but split before the release. Clark took it hard and removed Pete's name from ALL of the album liners. But was stuck with the name of the band. If you have a copy of the vinyl just look for Pete's name ANYWHERE on that album other than in the band name. Say What You Will was a HUGE radio hit, much to Eddy Clark's chagrin. LOL, I loved the song!!

  • Dave King should leave Flogging Molly and rejoin Fastway. then they can play this whole classic record live.

  • omg such a flashback right now \m/{>.<}\m/

  • It would have been awesome to have DIO do the chorus part in the video :)

  • bringing back my old long haired wild days. great song. god i feel old now. holy shit.

  • good tune..verrrrryyy hot, hehe, wonder if fokkae will use this for his wedding nite hump tune??? hehe

  • Love this song!

  • I got onto this album because it was Pete Way from UFO....If you like this then go check out some UFO! It rocks..........

  • @clocktime11

  • Awesome song!

  • REMINDS ME OF FAST TIMES AT RIDGEMONT HIGH,LMAO

  • woot woot!

  • hear Dave King here, now he sings for Flogging Molly now.what a range

  • 80's rock/metal will never die. The shit of today will be quickly forgotten. One of the most fun riffs to play on the guitar ever. It just flows so smoothly. Great fun and they were SUPER live. I was there man, say what you will. CHEERS!!!!!

  • @TheInflikted1 ツ‏✌

  • @TheInflikted1 This is one of the top 10 best riffs ever. Hot lick, yet pretty simple; Fast Eddie's totally working the 1-4-5 12 bar pattern. Manfred Mann once said that "some riffs are just waiting to be written", and this is definitely one of them...

  • @TheInflikted1 true words lad, I was ther too, great music and great times, keep it lit!

  • @TheInflikted1 Metal will never die!

  • @TheInflikted1 i was there too,,, saxon, iron maiden and fastway! long beach arena!! 83

  • @TheSteelers5892 ....Oh...my...GOD!!! Now THAT's an evening I'll never remember....LMAO!!!!

  • They opened for Rush in 1984 at Joe Luis arena! Loved it!

  • Comment removed

  • Fast Eddie Clarke finally got played on the radio in Kansas City, when this song came out. Motorhead never got airplay in those days.

  • They opened for AC-DC in Detroit @ Joe Louis '82 or '83.

    Memorable.

  • saw them live in vancouver, 1981 bitches

  • You know everybody this was pete ways band , the bass player from ufo .

  • Great album!!!

  • They don't make music like this anymore these days.

  • Armação ilimitada!

  • @rthisp

    Juba e Lula... Roooo

  • @stefanobahia É isso aí bacana !!!

    Abs de sampa

  • @cassiopol

    caramba... nos somos "veios"....hehehehe

  • Casi olvidado,meridiano Juvenil 83!!!(cx38)

  • Cool band saw them open for ACDC at the Forum for Flick of the switch and sat in 5th row center for $38 from al brooks ticket agency at LA hilton. Those were the days alright

  • Great song....Long live Rock!

  • Are you sure this is Dave King on vocals? It sounds nothing like him.

  • @Uxhenik Yup, this is him, well before he went on to front Flogging Molly.

  • @Uxhenik well he exaggerates the accent a tad for Flogging Molly. also he fronted Katmandu after this and before F.M.

  • i always loved this song..

  • I bought this album the week it came out. He had LOTS of fans!

  • JERRY SHIRLEY / HUMBLE PIE

    SETTLING!!!!!!!

  • Fastway was so highly underrated. I love their music!!!! I had the "Trick or Treat" movie soundtrack. I used to play that shit as loud as possible.

  • oh yeah

  • this band kicks major ass!...rock on baby!

  • THIS KICKS ASS!!!!! ROCK ON!!!!!!!

  • gotta love eddie clarke :P i'm glad my dad showed me what REAL music is, music today is just complete wank

  • Great fucking album and so underrated, Fast Eddie rules!

  • FAST EDDY JAMS!!!

  • anybody remember that eighties movie "trick or treat"? saw it when i was sixteen and it had nothing but Fastway on it! good times man..

  • @dennislongusa I was also sixteen after I saw the movie I wanted to be Sammi Curr! Yep both movie and soundtrack were awesome!

  • @dennislongusa Yes! I do remember the film - was cool and as you mentioned Fastway ruled it!

  • @dennislongusa .....yeah great flick.....saw it back in 87 i think....great Movie Poster too.....

  • @dennislongusa I remember...lol..good times

  • fastway fucking rule ,...NOW TODAY,... ya gotta hear Australia's Airbourne !!!

  • Juba & Lula

  • 80s cant be defined without these guys somewhere in the mix.

  • esay to play on bass but a very kick ass good time

  • i seen these guys live in st.louis mo. they opened for ad/dc kick ass show!

every band ive played in since 86 weve played say what you will and easy livin.

1st band was phantasm,2nd band was vengence,3rd band was Hellraiser formed in 93 - 96 ,we released our album cut yer teeth on this on 4/22/95 ,weve since reunited and are coming back real soon.it'll be great to play fastway again! any and all interested can check out our album here on youtube as well,HELLRAISER band,CUT YER TEETH ON THIS.

  • Never got to see Fastway live, but I did get to have lunch with Dave King when we opened for his band, Katmandu, at the Omni in Oakland. He was a really cool dude and I wish him well.

  • ahhhyeeahh!!

  • good tuneage!!!

  • kick ass song.

  • One of my favorite rockin tunes!!!

  • To those that don't like it, "Your not real Rockers!"!!

  • It's to bad this band has been forgotten about.

  • I saw them with Iron Maiden in the early 80's. Hate to say it but I was a big fan of their music but they were the worst live band that I ever saw and I saw a lot of bands.

  • Yeah dude, I remember that concert. Fastway sounded pretty shitty, but the album was kick ass! That Maiden show was unreal!

  • @Tralman1965 i saw em in phx in 83 opened for acdc flick of the switch , was both bands last kick ass record

  • So F'n love this ENTIRE album... kicks rock n' roll ass it does...

  • i remember crankin this as loud as i could as soon as mom and dad left for the country club columbus nebraska good times

  • This song kick more ass than a three legged man in a buttkickin' contest!

  • Ahhh.yes. But all should remember that Fast Eddie was the original.and only true guitarist in the incredible Motorhead.

  • That is one sleazy riff.......I love it.

  • I miss the whole blues/rock of the past.

  • The title says it ALL.Blunt...to the point.

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!

  • I couldn't help but Motley Crue robbed Fastway's sound 3 years later.

  • @jdlewis60 You got that right...they took it added some glam make-up and there you have it...

  • Maybe I've a few too many drinks, but at certain points, that voice reminds me of the Scorpions

  • 1985 premiere parti d'ac/dc , j'y étais : forest national bruxelles

  • This is what could happen if you sang and played music, we seriously need to quit dragging this dead horse (grunge, new age) around ,and get back to ROCKING, just look at it, good music goes out of style, next thing you know, everybody is a gangster, a homosexual, or have some sort of radically idiotic tic, it's no coincidence, music calms the savage beast, noise makes him hostile, humans are too similar in that aspect...

  • @rayrayara A-FUCKING-MEN!

  • Back in the 1983, I used to ride around with my BFF and her boyfriend in their Monte Carlo, listening to this whole (cassette)up on full blast, no less, while riding around town. I was the 3rd wheel!!!! Happy to say we are still BFF's, and they've been together over 25 years!!!!

  • I LOVE THIS SONG! ROCK ON! It's almost 4AM and Iv'e been rockin to this since 2AM!

  • SAY WHAT YOU WILL.........YOU WILL!!!!!!!!!

  • MY first rock concert was van halen and screams (never heard of them again) in midland tx in 78 or 79 one of em...lol...was a blast ! my mom took me n 3 gal pals and one of em had a brother that sold the best weed...and she had 4 joints...one for the trip to, 2 for the show, and one for trip home..lol..my mom let us smoke too..lol was toooo cool! miss the good ol days

  • FUCK YES!!!!!maiden/saxon/fastway 83 long beach arena!!!

  • My first ever concert ever when I was 16, Fastway, Saxon and Iron Maiden at Corpus Christi, Texas Coliseum for a mere $18.00

  • @TheLEALALEX i was there to

  • still rocks no matter what

  • THIS SONG MAKES ME WANT TO HUMP STRIPPERS!!!!!

  • My first concert ever - Coney Hatch, Fastway, and Iron Maiden!! 1983...13 yrs old!

  • rappers rap this

  • Ya know the lead singer of Fastway, now sings for "Flogging Molly"? That's kinda crazy, right?

  • One of the best guitar riffs in Rock n Roll

However, its better when "Fast" Eddie is playing it while standing right in front of the "Christmas Tree" & between 2 fire-breathing dragsters that just took off from the line

Or am I confusing this song with another Fastway song? Hard to remember, that was way back in the early days of music videos

  • great tune!!!!

  • I got yelled at for playing this too loud at 6 am !!!

  • @SuperTommyboy007 Whoever yelled at you should be drawn and quartered as a sacrifice to the rock gods!!

  • Juba e Lula ooohhhhh!!!!

    Armação Ilimitada na veia....

  • Dude, while copying the description from Wikipedia you forgot to delete two [edit]'s XD

  • I seen that 83 maiden tour, saxxon, fast way and Iron Maiden, what a show that was. ingrained in my DNA,

  • @RawrGish - YEAH YEAH! Saxxon was supposed to play, but cancelled the Philly stop...a band called Coney Hatch stepped in for them! My first concert!

  • @RawrGish Saxon..lol..now that was one rockin band.

  • @RawrGish you're damn right! I saw that tour in Seattle :P LOVED IT! changed my brain!

  • @RawrGish You are a lucky Bastard :)

  • I went to see them at the Hammersmith Odeon - with Rock Goddess in support. Tommy Vance introduced the gig that night..... anyone there? Anyone remember the blackout after 15 minutes hahahah

  • I saw them when they opened for Iron Maiden in 1983. Sweet, those were the good days!!

  • @kristin24140514 all of a sudden i feel somewhat old brother !!! lol !! born 1967

  • @dumberer67 Right there with ya bro, born 1966, oh what glorius days those were... the eighties, nineties, hair bands, you're only as old as you feel!!!

  • @badunklekirky i all of a sudden want to strap a bong to my face like a feed bag and cheech and chong out !! i miss the 80's

  • @kristin24140514 Awesome, saw that tour at Alpine Valley in Wisconsin that year,Coney Hatch was also on the bill.Great show.

  • very good song, one of their best ones i think.

  • 12 people can't say what they will

  • Hard to believe that this singer is the same one that would later be singer for Flogging Molly. Very different singing style.

  • What a blast from the past, FastWay opened for I it was AC/DC around 85 or 86 killer times..... ; }

  • This is a band that should have been HUGE!!

  • fast eddie clarke rox!!!!

  • @MrMelsenschlap What the fuck are you talkin' about? Shane Smith? Fool wasn't even in Fastway. Gtfo when you're talkin' bout some dumbass canadian drummer. No one likes Canada. Pfft.

  • @buddzilla I am laughing so hard at this post, my stomach is starting to hurt!!!

  • @buddzilla Don't tell Sebastian Bach that...him being from Ontario and all....

  • un mazaso, suficiente como para decir que somos fanas de estos

  • Turn it up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • RIP Shane Smith. Hope they have rock and roll wherever you are, my friend.

  • I remember when this first came out. Went out and bought the cassette just on this song. Wore it out rewinding and replaying this soung. Great song!

  • @chrltylr40 Still have the album!!!!!!!

  • Saw this band open for Cheap Trick back in late '70s.

    turn it up

  • @RORER714z . You must have been really high or a miracle. They didn't form till 1983. LMAO

  • @zillametal1

prolly high.Went to alot of shows in late 70's-early '80s.Biggest thing I remember about this band was the stage was checkerboard.
