This is how I always bowl (all once every 3 years!) but I use a 16 pound ball. My shoulder is usually a mess the next day.

I've left two 5-7-10 splits in 10 years of bowling. Crazy, nice pick up sir, too bad in a competition you most likely would not have a 6 pound ball to throw at that spare :\

@PalmerF420 have u seen that done before? I bowled like that for years, but went with a conventional grip this year and bowl this way only occasionally due to comfort.

@PalmerF420 "properly"? didn't know there was bowling police who governed over the correctness of bowling....the only proper way i can see to throw a ball is if whatever you're trying to do with the throw, it works, and in this case with that way of thinking...he threw it properly :)

@PalmerF420 There's no such thing as a proper way to convert the 5 7 10. Either you find a way to get 1 or two of them or you somehow get fortunate enough to convert it.

A buddy and I were getting into a arguement one night about the possiblity of picking this up. I left this during league play and trying to be funny I kicked the ball down the lane. He got all pissed off that I didn't try for it. I said the only way to pick that up would be high revs, slower roll, lighter ball and a ton of luck and I still won't make that. I was wrong.

@Bmeinemusic Nope.. It looks like it hits high because of the camera angle, but the ball hits the 5 pin out far enough to make it hit the 10 pin

I did it today...I'm a righty....and I sent the ball to hit the 5....the ball then hit the 10 and the pin spun and hit the 7...it was awesome...its the first time I have done it and I don't think I could do it again.

@Saaandra1990 Some people are fortunate enough just to see it once. I've only encountered this split twice in my 13 years of bowling experience. My dad gets confused when I mention the 5 7 10 because it was totally unheard of and my dad bowled a lot.

The trick is. Hit the 5 at an angle where it goes to the 7 or the 10 and throw the ball hard so the ball keeps going past the 5 and hits the remaining pin
