I went to the Mansfield State Reformatory and it wasn't scary at all yeah it's haunted but alot of places are. Thats awesome seeing " Brooks was here" and " so was Red that was one of my favorite parts but then Shawshank Redemption is one of my top 5 movies of all time so that was a really cool for me too see!

The only orbs that I believe are 100% real in photographs are the ones in color;

like on 2:36, the blue orb right in the middle of the screen.

Poo hon first of all I want to say I think the prison was awesome & so was the background music. I'm fairly big into Halloween sound effects it gets a little crazy around my house with all those noises during the haunted season but & I don't want to say anything negative but..I don't believe orbs are ghosts I believe they're dust particles apart from that I loved it & thanks for sharing!!!

Yeah I think of lot it was dust. Although in a few of the pics, I think there is something a little bit more. Like the pic of the window, those were two different cams. There is also a figure in one of the pics behind the dust. That place was just plain ole creepy!

The pictures that have so many "orbs" you can't see anything...those aren't orbs that is dust. There are orbs within this video but it is important if you are a ghost hunter to know the difference between the two.

I had been to the Reformatory. It is about an hour from me. I love it! It reminds me of a castle. I never was on the overnight stay but I hear you can go anywhere in the prison. Thanks for sharing.

I was there about a week before these pictures were taken. The place is amazing, creepy, but still amazing. For those of you that think dust cant make round circles....yes it can. One of the best places to find dust in the reformatory is in solitary confinement and the east and west cell block. The place is full of dust, but those are the best places to find it. I do believe though that some of the bright circles and the blue one are orbs.

Yeah, I know it's a creepy place, but that still doesn't change the fact that when you use a flash camera you light can reflects off of all sorts of things. Bugs, dust, etc.

I stayed there last night. I saw quite a few orbs in one particular hallway as well as strangely figured shadows that would appear for a few seconds on a particular stair case that we kept going back to. I am def wanting to go again sometime.

My Dad worked there for over 15 years and finally quit after an inmate broke his arm in many places. If your interested I can share many storied that Im sure you dont know for the next time you go back. I only live 30 minutes from there. Let me know.

the blue orb at 2:35 and the streak at 2:39 are really quite interesting. and the orb at 3:06 seemed to actually cast a reflection on the ground!! lots of great pics... and the music and sounds were fun too :P

I use to roam around this place when I was a kid after they shut it down and before they filmed shawshank there. They had the whole prison yard/ walls/ hospital ect... back then that has since been torn down. Its an old place but not as old as the 1839 date I saw in this. I believe it was built around 1895.

They closed the Prison in 1990. And filmed Shawshank in 1993. So I really don't think you played there. Try making up something that no one knows about.

Hmmm. 1990-93. Seems like thats quite a bit of time for that place to sit empty and for people like me in junior high at the time to go exploring. I've still got the uniforms and prisoner ID cards I found to prove it.

I went to Mansfield along with other members of my group, WNY Paranormal. A couple of members in the group had very scary experiences, and I had a couple of great pics. I will say that the place was very dusty and many of those orb pics could have been dust. Great video though.
