Japan has some of the world's lowest rape statistics. In terms of attire and dancing they are equal to almost all girl idols in Japan and much cleaner and more innocent than other female celebrities around the world.
Also, they are merely employees of their producer like all idol groups.

According to that NTV Best Artist chart everyone likes to show off, it's around 50/50 with slightly more male than female fans.

The reason why AKB48 is popular is because they listen to what the public wants. Its like American Idol and The X Factor UK. If other artists let the public decide what they want to see from them then they'll probably get a #1 single as well.

Some people know it. Charts in Japan is dominated by the old business practices. In recent years become increasingly explicit. Personally, if the instrument does not have a young group, regardless of nationality, most of them are garbage. In Japan, good music is hidden in unexpected places. Please enjoy exploring.

Forgot to say that i'm surprise Akanishi Jin did so well. Thought he wouldn't do good because he left kat-tun and may have been a backlash from fans. Guess not, heck he did even better than Kat-tun did.

Jan Keun Suk at #29, Kara made it at #26 and #25, TVXQ made it at #16. Overall pretty good for K-Pop in the top 30. Several other K-Pop made it at top 100. Can't wait for IU to make her debut. :)
