Hamza Baba's ethnic nationality is Pashtun and his Citizenship was Pakistani. He started his poetry career in Urdu and studied at Islamia Collegiate School, Peshawar. His grandson is my very close friend currently becoming a doctor in Pakistan, and I can assure you his entire family is Pakistani citizen, living, studying and working in Pakistan provincial Government, just as Hamza Baba.

I don't know why would you say he is not a Pakistani citizen?

I know this for sure, because I am reading it from the deewan. But even if you listen to it, it still says "Ta Alim ay", means you are an scholar, no da gharoor la makha nada!

Za sa wema ao zama baaja sa waye. I am telling you I know the entire family of Hamza Baba, including Hamza Baba. You just know him by name and I have hugged him, spoken to him, sat beside him and listened to him for hours. Ao punjabay de kha muntay de. Her ala bala pa gardan-e-mullah (punjabay) wachawaye. Da sa khabara shuwa? dumra naran yai no pasai de kat na ao sa kaar ukao khpal qaam la.

Ao I repeat, Hamza Baba started his Poetry in Urdu and did it for years before moving to Pakhto.
