Not alot of ps3's brick, mine never did. This update is good for video playback and the photo album, something new and different.

Don't update to 2.60...it just bricked my ps3... called up sony and denies any problem... this is like 2.4 all over again. I think they do that on purpose so you have to send it in to get repaired. So much for quality assurance. Google it.
