Jinxxed0; Had the same problem, fixed it with these instruction:
Clear the RTC RAM:
1- turn off the computer and unplug the power cord
2- Find the RTC jumper on your motherboard, move the jumper cap from pins 1-2 (defaut) to 2-3. Keep the cap on pins 2-3 for 10sec and then move the cap back to pins 1-2.
i been reading this is a problem with all the P67 and Z68 boards. i want to build me an i7 2600k rig but this infinite loop problem is scaring me away. for now im staying with my AMD rig.
I'm having the same problem but my monitor doesn't even react when it turns on as if it werent connected (but it is). So I can't even go into the bios.

@ultimateako96 Yeah, my computer is up and running. I had to take out one of the ram sticks and it booted. then i had trouble installing windows. but that was because i was using the 6gb cord instead of the 3gb one.because the drivers werent installed for the 6gb one yet.
it was a major hassle, but now everything is working great. good luck
all i can say is i wish i read some of this feed back before i purchased my mobo i have the same problem but ever since i upgraded the bio's it dosen't happen everytime i start up, only occasionally...but it still pisses me of knowing its gona haunt me again...
For those wondering how to solve the double boot issue for this board, there are 2 things that you can do 1) UEFI BIOS -> go to ‘Advanced’ tab -> go down to ‘APM’, press Enter -> enable the “Power on by PCIe.” function. Then press F10 to save & exit. After save & exit, let the system boot into Windows or other OS, then perform a proper shutdown: Start button -> Shut down 2) Internal PLL Overvoltage = DISABLED .
@chazflyz This makes no sense! After you enable the powering from the PCIe and hit f10, the system will save and then restart... when it restarts the screen goes black... I think it doesn't know where to boot from after this!
I got the P8P67 Evo about a month ago. It ran fine (except for some minor RAM issues) for about 3 weeks. Then it suddenly crashed. I could not get it to boot after that at all. The fans wouldn't even come on unless I unplugged the 8 pin ATX connection.
I just got my new mobo yesterday (with new Intel P67 chipset) and this piece of shit won't boot at all either. All I get is the solid red CPU LED. I guess I paid $1,500 for a door stop with spinning fans. Great.
this is because the sistem lose power when it's pluged in for the first time the power cable...this depands what power suply u have and the motherboard. Don't worry about it is no a problem is just a power lose....
I updated the Bios to 1003 to try and get my usb 3.0 to work ( still doesnt ) and now i cant get my computer to boot unless i use the windows 7 disk. I can get into Bios but when i try to boot its just a black screen lines. Any ideas on whats going on? Should i update to the newest bios? or back to the original?
Just had the same issue. I first clicked and held the MEM-OK button until the red led started flashing. This will test default memory settings. It will reboot several times to try to fix it. However this did not first the issue for me so I simply removed both sticks of ram and inserted 1 stick into the second slight (light blue slot closest to cpu). It booted up fine and shut it back down moved the sticks back to 1 and 3 and its working great now.
Well crap. I just ordered this mobo and a sandy bridge 2400. I'm building a new computer because I had a decent one given to me and it started doing this. I had geek squad take a look at it and they said its a bad mobo. I'd thouroughly read the manual and if that doesn't help then I'd take it to geek squad. They didn't charge me for diagnostics.
did ya fix the problem. Im in the same situation. nothing seems to work.

A temporary fix for his has been circulating the forums:
ASUS P8P67 series Double POST at Cold Boot Fix
- enter UEFI BIOS
- enable the “Power on by PCIe” function
This should be remedied in a later BIOS update.
