I was born and raised where this movie was filmed. The hospital is Jersey Community Hospital where my daughter and I was both born at, the bridge is indeed in Alton Illinois. Its called the Louis And Clark Bridge. Takes you too St. Louis Mo. The kid who wrote this movie, his dad is I think the owner of JUN Construction, where my baby's daddy worked, and the old man in the working scene... Thats my father in law. :D So yeah.. I love this movie. Its.. Home.
at 1:56 - 1:58 that bridge in the back ground, i was the first person to cross it.. i got a plaque and stuff with my name on it and a piece of the bridge, its in a town called Alton il i livein EastAlton il. its a bridge to get to missouri from illinois.
I only wonder what kind of movie this will be. I hope it's wonderful. It was filmed partially in my hometown of Alton, Illinois...which is a primarily a past-its-prime industrial town upriver from St. Louis. I hope they picked some good spots!
America plays a waitress in a restaurant that Tom Guiry's character also works in as a dishwasher and they become romantically involved. The whole movie is about down and out middle working class people that are dealing with the father of the family in jail for murder and how it affects the whole family. America did a wonderful job, as did Tom. I went to the premier and was disappointed that she wasn't there - but all the other stars were.
