Don't beauty pageants also subject women into some impossible ideals as originally created by the people who run them? Why should women be judged in specific categories when they should be judged on their worth as a human being? The swimsuit competition alone would be considered sexist in the eyes of some viewers.

Beauty pageants are irrelevant, and no, that particular opinion shouldn't have cost her the crown. But the way she answered that question made her seem dumb. She was nervous when answering it and really didn't answer it forcefully. If she was being interviewed for a job and answered a question like that she'd be in the reject pile. Although Hilton is still an idiot because he objected to the opinion itself and not the way the answer was given. I do wish people were less homophobic though.

And again, this is only what Perez is saying. There were 12 judges total, maybe some of the other ones just liked the other girl better, we don't know. He says nothing about, "WE all decided she blew it". And her life isn't going to suck much because she didn't win here. She has a very EASY life ahead of her.
