This is why Krav Maga and its iterations have failed miserably outside of Israel, it is not a fluid based, natural fighting style. It is no different than dancing really. Steps that must be done by both people in unison for the action to work. It has no real world applications outside of a Krav maga gym. Krav Maga gyms also have the highest shutdown rates in the U.S. Trying to pull some shit like this on a Brazilian JJ artist will get you put in an omaplata quick.

Flying armbars are more of a BJJ move then a Krav Maga move... they've been done multiple times in MMA matches as well as in the Olympics for Judo. And how would you counter a flying armbar with a omaplata, that doesn't make sense. If the move fails you'd end up in on bottom, and its virtually impossible to do a omaplata from top position
