If the "transition" was seamless from DOD to VA it still would not be worth a fig without any comprehensive treatment programs for PTSD in the military, and at VAMCs. The spouses need a program. The VA requires independent oversight. And, someone at the helm that knows and understands something about treating PTSD and veterans. The continuous rhetoric coming from the VA has not changed from the time of the Vietnam War. The issue of compensation grows as soldiers have no emotional exit strategy.
