Beautiful video! Thank you. One of my favorite songs, but I hadn't realized how many had sung it along with being integral parts of the movies like Moulin Rouge and Untamed Hearts. And still after viewing other performances, Nat King Cole remains my favorite. He doesn't just sing the words, you can tell he feels them. I loved what you did with the classic artwork and would like to see more such videos.
Old King Cole was a merry old soul, and a merry old soul was he .... I know of Nat King Cole from both my parents and from his Christmas album, but this song is such an amazing find to me. His voice is so rich and soulful; I am still moved to tears by his singing. I am happy to hear this song. Thank you.

I love Nat King Cole and this song, I literally can't explain just how great this song is and how it makes me feel!!! Simply amazing! I love it's mysterious beauty and deep and mysterious lyrics!!! This is what I live for!!!
i never heard of this song until i watched moulin rouge. i damn love the movie and instantly fell in love with this song, and still do. such inspirational song. moulin rouge is just one of my fav movies of all time.
There was a boy A very strange enchanted boy They say he wandered very far, very far Over land and sea A little shy And sad of eye But very wise Was he And then one day A magic day he came my way And while we spoke of many things, fools and kings This he said to me "The greatest thing You'll ever learn Is just to love And be loved In return" (instrumental interlude) "The greatest thing You'll ever learn Is just to love And be loved In return
thanks for putting up the song writer, cos i think the lyrics are great. sounds deceptively simple but like an ancient proverb. i think it is very true too, 'the greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return'. course nat is great too :)
Dear Spadecaller, as this is my all-time favorite song, and I don't live far from The Griffith Park Observatory, I especially appreciate your composition. The background description is quite enlightening, and the beautiful paintings really enrich the music. I see that I'm not alone in liking your creation. Thank you, a Nature Boy

i listen to a lot of different types of music but i always rate nat king cole as the greatest singer ever this is probably my all time fav tune such a voice like velvet chocolate the likes of which will never be heard again sooo good.
Always loved Nat King Cole singing this...and, now, the history of the song and these great artist to express your interpretation..another awesome production ~Spadecaller~ BraVo!!
This video is absolutely amazing. Nat Cole was a musical wizzard with his fabulous, charming and very kind voice, the composition is so emotional, the pictures are perfectly selected and matching very good to this beautiful text. While listening to this music, I stop rushing of the roaring life of today and start thinking of the most substantial element of living...
