I found an old cassette of the plastic ono band Maureen had given me and played it for Layne. I couldn't believe he'd never really listened to John. I told him about Johns adiction and scream therapy and recording while he kicked. Layne borrowed that tape, I never got it back.

Lennon was a lyrical genius. He was also very anti establishment. That is one of the reasons the US government did not want him to live in the US. Layne was not properly remembered. I remember they did a benefit show in the summer of 93. I think inbetween headlining Lollapallooza. BTW did u ever hear the story in 1990. Layne and Jerry were staying in a 5 star hotel in New York laid on by Columbia records. And Layne invited 2 homeless guys sitting outside to there suite. Gave them food, drank beer stayed up all night and paid for them to go back home. Class guy. Even when he was not that famous.
