  • Good for you!!! Funny I did an inter library loan for the Sacred Woman, and have been studying the book, I wish I knew you were doing it, is the group you set up on ning from the living in black group?

  • @Malkiarising1 nope, the link is under the video it's a separate ning group. But since ning is charging now we have had to change to a grou.ps site and I don't have that link right now.

  • You hang in there. Don't worry about what people say. People have something to say no matter what you do.

  • love your video.get ya self together.mind, body and spirit.

  • Gurl, I hear u on the downing part...my mom was like, how are the kids going to get the protein etc...I was like, Queen teaches how to get all u need...

U know people will always have something to say...and all the vegans/vegetarians ppl see on TELEVISION are white...I dont tell many people what Im doing ..I will only tell my spiritual brother what Im doing bc he is the reason i know about Queen.and I know he will support me...my mom is leary of Queen bc she is different and we are christians

  • I dont know if u have gotten off of the meats yet (i just found ur vids tonight)

But either way, what I did was stop buying meat for home...limited my eating out...when I did buy meat, it was just chicken...now I am totally off of meat period...as of a couple weeks or so ago...

Now as of the weekend of the 13th I chose to stop eating @ fast food restaurants...

My thing now is to get off of sweets and stop smoking...those are the two hardest right now

  • Great video! I just started eating raw vegan and I look forward to loosing some weight so, when I heard you say that you knew raw food vegans that are heavy-set I was like "Oh no!"

  • You are an inspiration. Health & Wellness is not a white or black thing. I am a "chubby" black vegetarian into alternative health and get the same crap all the time!

  • Peace Nuru! Thank you for this video, I'm Boogie from sistercircles and I just wanted to say how much I appretiate what you said about not getting discouraged from other people. I'm just so excited about all this new found enlightenment that the Lord has blessed me to find but I don't discuss it with everyone bc if they're response is negetive thats a discouragement. My momma always says don't cast your pearls to the swine!

  • Today was my first hearing about Queen Afua. Your video is inspirational! Thank you for sharing, Keep up the awesome work! At this time I'm not able to buy anything, books or juicers, However, I would love to do the raw detox. If it is possble, please give a little more details on what I should do that won't cost me anything but a discipline mind, soul and body.

    Thank you again,

    ProffetE3 's wife

  • i can relate/people want to judge n discourage u cuz u r comin into knowledge n respondin/transformation is good, for the last 5 years i have ignored my inner self i had no desire for food i was bored with my eattin ritual, recently i discoverd that change is good, so it is not hard for me to transition to raw foods, i had been cut the pork out of my diet, sometimes u have to isolate urself from negative people includin family friends it is most important to be tru to self 1st!

  • Good for you! I understand about people always trying to stigmatize or down you. I'm skinny and I like meat, but people trip on my honors and AP classes, and now university and being good on a skateboard. Somehow anything good except basketball is supposed to belong to some other race. People somehow think that these bigger things in life have something to do with how much pigment is in my skin. Unfortunately for some of us, haters are a fact of life. you do what you're doin! That's cool

  • Gurl u are beautiful. and i love your hair! keep your head up only you know the truth and ur own goals. ppl like to put u down at times but just keep on. u may have a convert one day. I support u 100% JAH bless

  • I know what you are saying about friends and family. I went natural, they had something to say about that. I tried vegetarian, they had something to say about that. Stay encouraged, be encouraged and do your thing. Only you know the journey you are on. I'm now into whole grains and real(like I have my own garden and actually know the lady who grows the chicken I purchase, real)foods. They go on about the cost. I say it's cheaper than cancer and just ignore them.

  • By doing a search on Queen Afua I came across your videos. Great find! I have had The Queen's books for awhile and have tried to follow it - however, it has always been for a short period of time. I'm sure the missing ingredient has been not having the support around me. So, I am very glad to find this circle and am very interested in being a part of it. How can I join? Thank you Sisters, never give up!

  • The sistercircles link is on the side of the video. We will be so glad to have you. We are at the end of our first 21 days and have another group starting on the 14th of July.

  • Thank you for responding. I look forward to being apart of the new group starting 7/14.

  • Does cleansing/ detox have an age limit I was wondering because I ate some raw fruit and it went straight through me

  • if you're really young like younger than 12 years old than yes, but it's supposed to go through, that's your toxins coming out, if you keep eating them your body will get used to it

  • thanx, I'm 14

  • That's because fruit if fiber and helps to push waste through the intestins.

  • thanx, sista Nu

  • I don't think so cause my mom use to detox us every 3 months when i was a kid and help us to stay much healthier than I am now I hardly got sick as a child but now I got all kinds of problems. So I would say start early but make sure you are follow by an adult with knowledge on this. Do your research.

  • I agree with everyone so far..dont let what other people say bother you...and i dont blame you for not wanting to tell everyone what you are doing..its really none of there biz anyway...and thats what makes you who you are unique..i totally support what you are doing..i dont see nothing wrong with it..me personally is not ready to take that step yet...and like you said in your video..you have to be ready mind and body...

  • don`t worry about other peoples opinions. You`re ur own woman. With wisdom, intelligence, humor and a very beautifull appearance.Visualize your plans and make them real, thats how we,black people, make heaven since the olden days

  • I LIKE TRYING NEW THINGS!!

Even when it is raw like sushi...or vegitarian!

I have no problem eating healthy!

It's just the sodas and chocolate that bothers me! Especially soda!

  • People are always going to have something to say....do you girl!!! I've been weening myself from meat for the past 30 days (only fish and shrimp) for the next 30 strictly veges and a partily juicing. I'm glad you started the group, cause i know i need all the help i can get! Be Blessed

  • Don't worry about what other people say. Life is a learning process. We weren't all created to be a size 0. I'm became a vegan about 2.5 months ago.

And usually when people have something negative to say they themselves are jealous and wish they could do what we are doing. But instead of joining in they try to tear it down with their mouth. So they are really attacking themselves ... not you. :)

  • You are so right gradie. I've gotten to a point where I don't even tell people what I"m doing.
