Outrageous! I mean Allgood was good. Rothbury was the real deal. I really loved the crowd (a lot more), though many were cool at AG. Everyone was so happy I think all the time. Just watch the video and Sherwood. Best time I've had in a long long long time at Rothbury can't wait to return. AG great music but I think I'll try other fests. Maybe some smaller ones.

I agree. Roth 2009 from a macro-perspective was life-changing. It's crazy to think you go to bed Friday after seeing a pair of sets like Cheese did, and then waking up to a day full of music - let alone the 4th of July - where the climax is 4 hours of The Dead w/ Warren Haynes. I was there as well and agree that rothbury can't be topped as of now. Best spot for a fest, sherwood forest, and straight fire lineups. Never been so glued to the headliners in my life. Cheese might have been the most quality show I'll see for a long time and being super spun didn't hurt either. I thought i was seeing shit in the crowd but in this case everything there was real. And I got my first keller incident, "best feeling" what a good song. I'll be back in michigan for every 4th.

I got MARRIED in the forest earlier that day!!! And this was quite the reception party :) I've seen Cheese once before but it didn't even compare to this. I think EOTO has greatly effected their sound, and that ball was hilarious. I just hope Rothbury can stay true to its roots and not go astray like Bonnaroo or many other festivals have. I am a HUGE Phan. I've seen them numerous times. Even in their 90's prime, Phish never put on a show as complete as this show was. Talent, visuals, general vibe etc. Best concert the world has ever seen.

Boy I missed most of the set(s) but did catch the last hour. Phish, I'm sure has put on more sick sets but it all depends on your style. I've seen Phish put on much higher energy and higher 'bang-for-your-buck" shows but I'd take Dead over Phish any day because their style is a more enjoyable show to me. This all being said, I don't really want Phish to show up at Rothbury and I want SCI and The Dead again just because of the crowd I think it will foster.
