Everybody assumes that the kiwi died by the end of the video. Peronsally, I prefer to think otherwise.
I mean, someone who can create such an elaborate setup in order to achieve the illusion of flying isn't doing it to end their lives. I prefer to think that, at the bottom of the cliff, the kiwi had something to stop his fall. A safety net, an air bag, heck, even a vat of whipped cream! I mean, the little guy is just too smart to just 'end it up' like that.
