I used to think touch was a gimmick until my PC went down and I was given a lenovo to use while mine was being repaired. I soon found out it's a real good option.

Have you never opened a computer or something? That plastic would look ugly as shit if you kept that on there and it would maybe intefere with the sensititivy of the touchscreen as well as peel off over time!

I don't think it would interfere with the touchscreen cuz it works with infrared leds and they detect the position of your finger.... they are around in a frame before the screen, impossible! the LCD screen isn't touch, it works because of leds

and i asked if it was necessary remove the plastic from the BACKSIDE of the computer.... :P

I have an iMac...it's the best thing that has happened to me...I have previously owned Vista and XP computers...They both fall in comparison to a macs software...From waht i've used the Macs are MUCH easier use and are much more user friendly...Vista is TOO secure...Macs already have built in Virus protection too.

Well, you don't have to get a macbook air...and second, what i mean by too safe is that vista does not remember your personal settings for display (atleast mine didnt). so every time i wanted to extend the monitor to others i'd have to go through the process all over again and norton+vista didnt go well and the updates for it too it just shut off my comp as i was playing WoW which sucked. But i respect your opnion and i like HP's and am thinking of getting one actually.
